Highlife musician Akwaboah Jnr has stated that he feels no pressure to rush into releasing new songs, as his existing catalogue continues to resonate with audiences.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show, the award-winning singer explained that his music has lasting appeal and remains relevant over time.
“As it stands now, I am not under pressure to release songs because thankfully my songs do very well. The goal is that even 20 years from now, people will still appreciate my music, and I’ll be able to perform at big shows and banquets,” he said.
Akwaboah added that he has enough songs to perform for at least two hours and is focused on building a legacy grounded in quality and longevity.
He also credited his father’s blessings, grace, and hard work as the foundation of his success.
“My father blessed me with opportunities that he wasn’t able to reach, and I believe I will achieve those goals. While I have that grace, hard work is also a crucial part of the journey. People are watching, and they know what they want. I have enough songs to perform for at least two hours. I want to build a legacy,” he said.
