Council of State member and Western North NDC Regional Chairman, Michael Aidoo, has awarded full scholarships to 120 brilliant but needy students in the region to pursue various programs at Kaaf University in the Gomoa East District.
Mr. Aidoo, who is also the founder of Kaaf University, said the initiative aims to reduce illiteracy and poverty, particularly in rural communities.
Speaking to Adom News, he expressed concern that many young people resort to alcoholism and other negative behaviors due to a lack of educational support.
He urged the scholarship beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and steer clear of social vices.
Some of the students who received the scholarships expressed gratitude and pledged to work hard to make the most of the opportunity.
