We will recover all stolen monies from NPP — NDC National Chairman

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has stated that the current government will continue prosecuting corrupt former officials of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to recover state funds for national development.

Speaking during his thank-you tour in Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, he said President John Dramani Mahama is committed to restoring economic stability and strengthening the cedi.

He emphasized that the government will not relent in pursuing former appointees implicated in corruption.

“We will recover all stolen funds from the NPP and use them to develop the country,” he declared.

Addressing concerns from some NDC supporters who feel overlooked after the party’s electoral victory, Asiedu Nketia urged patience, noting that President Mahama is currently addressing challenges left behind by former President Nana Akufo-Addo and the previous NPP administration.

In his welcome remarks, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Joseph Antwi Awal said ongoing conflicts in the area have negatively affected school performance. He praised the joint security forces for maintaining peace in the municipality and surrounding communities.

The MCE also appealed to chiefs and residents to continue promoting unity to ensure sustained development. He further requested the construction of the Nkwanta–Dadiase and Nkwanta–Kue border roads to boost economic activities in the region.
