Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has expressed confidence in Ghana’s readiness ahead of their upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany.
The fixtures form part of Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the Black Stars set to face Austria on Friday, March 27, at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion before travelling to Stuttgart to take on Germany three days later.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Thursday, the Leicester City forward acknowledged the quality of the opposition but insisted the team is fully focused on delivering strong performances.
Ayew noted that while both matches present a stern test, the squad remains committed to approaching each game with seriousness and determination.
He added that preparations have been thorough across all aspects, including tactics, technique, and physical conditioning, leaving the team in a good place heading into the clash with Austria.
The 32-year-old, however, was cautious about making bold predictions, emphasising that the immediate focus remains on Friday’s encounter, with attention to the Germany game to follow afterward.
