The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has urged voters in the Akwatia constituency to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Bernard Bediako, in the upcoming by-election.
Speaking to party supporters on Sunday, August 31, 2025, Mr. Debrah conveyed President John Dramani Mahama’s personal appeal to the electorate.
“John Mahama says I should tell you, the people of Akwatia, that he wants to work with the NDC candidate Bernard Bediako in his government,” he stated.
His message formed part of the NDC’s campaign efforts ahead of the by-election, scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Mr. Debrah urged constituents to translate their support into votes, stressing that a win for the NDC would strengthen the government’s partnership with Akwatia in advancing development projects.
The by-election follows the passing of the constituency’s Member of Parliament, Ernest Kumi.
