Ghana international Thomas Partey is set to leave Villarreal at the end of his contract in June.
Reports from Spain indicate that head coach Marcelino GarcÃa Toral has confirmed the midfielder is not part of his plans for the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old joined the La Liga side on a two-year deal ahead of the current campaign after five seasons at Arsenal. Since his arrival, he has struggled for regular playing time, featuring in just 18 matches across all competitions.
According to Transferfeed, Marcelino has already informed the club’s management that Partey will not be retained beyond the expiration of his contract.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder is therefore expected to depart when his deal concludes on June 30, 2026.
Transfermarkt currently values Partey at around €5 million.
