Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has attended the opening of the 2026 Jalsa Salana, the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, held in Gomoa in the Central Region.

Her arrival marked the official start of the 93rd Jalsa Salana Ghana, an annual gathering that brings together members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community from across the country and abroad.

The event serves as a platform for religious fellowship, reflection, and community engagement. The Vice President’s presence underscores the government’s recognition of the role faith-based organisations play in promoting social cohesion and national development.

She was warmly received by leaders and congregants of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission as she participated in the inaugural sessions.

The convention features religious lectures, discussions on social issues, and charitable activities, highlighting the Mission’s commitment to spiritual growth and community service.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s participation is viewed as a gesture of respect for Ghana’s religious diversity and an affirmation of the state’s support for peaceful interfaith engagement.
