Two brothers, Yaw Clinton, 23, and Kofi Nsowa, 19, have been fatally stabbed at Sefwi Akrofu, near Sefwi Boako in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region. The alleged attacker, a young man from Sankore, reportedly mistook Yaw Clinton for someone else.

Confirming the incident to Adom News, Sefwi Boako Assemblyman Thomas Nsia, popularly known as “Pogba,” explained that the suspect believed Yaw Clinton had travelled to Sankore to pick up his girlfriend for a wake-keeping at Akrofu.

Acting on information from peers that an unidentified man in a green Pragyia had gone to Sankore for that purpose, the suspect and a group of associates travelled to Akrofu in search of him.

The actual person involved reportedly fled with the lady before the suspect’s arrival. Upon reaching Akrofu, the suspect allegedly saw Yaw Clinton driving a green Pragyia and, believing him to be the target, confronted him.

Armed with a knife concealed under a long-sleeved shirt, the suspect attacked Yaw Clinton, stabbing him multiple times until he collapsed.

Kofi Nsowa, the younger brother, rushed to intervene but was also stabbed repeatedly while trying to restrain the attacker. Both victims were rushed to the Boako Clinic but were pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect reportedly fled back to Sankore. The police have been notified and investigations are ongoing to apprehend him.
