Two people are feared dead after a helicopter reportedly crashed and caught fire at the premises of the Tema TMA Day Care Centre in Tema.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, sending shockwaves through the area as residents and workers nearby rushed to the scene after witnessing the aircraft go down.
Eyewitnesses said the helicopter burst into flames moments after the crash, leaving the two people believed to have been on board severely burnt. The identities of the victims were not immediately known at the time of reporting.
Officials have yet to confirm the circumstances that led to the crash, but emergency responders were quickly dispatched to bring the situation under control.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and other security agencies moved in to douse the flames and secure the crash site while investigations begin.
