Two policemen stationed at Ofoase in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region have reportedly died following a collision involving a motorbike and a tricycle.
The deceased have been identified as Lance Corporal Anti Isaac and Constable Thomas Allonyor, who were off duty at the time of the incident.
Accra-based GHOne TV reported that the duo were riding a motorbike from Ofoase to buy meat at Ayirebi when they crashed into a stationary tricycle.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
The bodies of the deceased officers have since been deposited at a morgue as the police commence further investigations into the incident.
