A member of Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), Kwesi Appiah, has urged supporters to remain patient and united as the Porcupine Warriors chase the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.
After 14 matches, Kotoko sit third on the league table with 24 points. However, inconsistent results in recent games have sparked calls from some fans for the dismissal of head coach Karim Zito.
Speaking on Akoma FM, Appiah acknowledged the challenges that come with managing a top club but stressed that mistakes are part of the growth process.
“Team building is a gradual process, and we all need to be patient,” he said. “We are doing our best, and while some decisions may not always be right, they offer valuable lessons.”
The experienced football administrator reiterated the club’s determination to fight for the league crown.
“Our desire and hope are to win the Ghana Premier League title, but above all, we are prepared to fight until the very end,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will look to sustain their title push when they travel to face Eleven Wonders in their Matchday 15 fixture at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
