Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Sarfo Duku, has expressed confidence in the club’s technical team to deliver silverware in the upcoming 2025/26 season.
The Porcupine Warriors, who ended last season on a high by lifting the FA Cup, will begin their Ghana Premier League campaign with an away clash against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Sarfo Duku said head coach Abdul Karim Zito and his backroom staff have put in the necessary work to ensure a successful campaign.
“We are expecting a good season. We may have one or two bad days, but with the work that the technical team are doing, we cannot afford to fail and disappoint our fans,” he stated.
“I am sure that the team will deliver trophies,” he added.
Kotoko will also feature in continental competition this season, representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup. They have been drawn against Nigeria’s Kwara United in the preliminary round.
The first leg will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium between September 19 and 21, with the return fixture scheduled for Ilorin a week later, between September 26 and 28.
