The Toase Circuit Court has remanded Cynthia Ofori, the female whose boyfriend allegedly died in her room at Mpasatia.
He will be in police custody for two weeks.
Emmanuel Somuah, a 30-year-old miner, was found dead in his girlfriend’s room at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
He is alleged to have been killed by a rival while visiting his girlfriend over the weekend.
The girlfriend was arrested after the incident, but the suspect is still at large.
During the court proceedings, the lady was asked about the cause of death in the room. She responded that the deceased slapped her, and she slapped him back, denying a hand in the death of Emmanuel.
The court, after listening to the lady’s explanation, adjourned the case to September 9, 2025.
Speaking to the media, the uncle of Emmanuel Somuah expressed gratitude to the court for remanding the suspect.
Only family members of the deceased were present in court.
