Three killed, several injured after accident on Tatale-Sanguli road

A tragic road accident has claimed three lives and left several others injured in the Tatale-Sanguli District of the Northern Region.

The victims were travelling in a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GW 5828-17, reportedly returning from the Kukpalgu market when the crash occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Kia was temporarily blinded by the bright headlights of an oncoming articulator truck.

In an attempt to avoid a head-on collision, he swerved but ended up crashing into a stationary tricycle (motor king) that had broken down along the roadside.

The impact of the collision proved fatal, killing three people instantly and injuring others who were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.

The District Chief Executive for Tatale-Sanguli, Mary Tagba, and the Member of Parliament, William Ayo Ntebe, have since visited the victims’ families to offer their condolences.

They expressed deep sorrow over the loss and assured the affected families of their continuous support, urging them to reach out to their offices whenever assistance is needed.

Authorities have begun investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident and prevent similar incidents on the route.
