Takoradi Technical University denies reports of campus unrest

Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has refuted reports of disturbances on its campus involving students and officers of the Ghana Police Service.

In a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, management described the claims as false, misleading, and without basis.

It stressed that no unrest had occurred at the university and urged the public to disregard such publications and images.

“TTU remains calm, secure, and dedicated to its mandate of teaching, learning, and research,” the statement assured.

The university further reaffirmed its reputation as a peaceful centre for academic excellence and integrity while cautioning the media to exercise due diligence and verify information with the Directorate of Public Affairs before publishing, to avoid misrepresentation.

Management also reassured students, parents, staff, and the public that TTU continues to provide a safe and enabling environment for scholarship and innovation.
