Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, the GBA’s Director of Communications, Mohammed Amin Lamptey, hinted that the correspondence highlighted regulatory concerns and called for swift action from both the Minister of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Authority (NSA) to tighten oversight on boxing promotions in the country.

The Battle of the Beasts event drew significant attention, showcasing headline bouts such as Jacob “The Beast” Dickson facing Andrew Tabiti for the WBO Africa Bridgerweight title, and Daniel Selassie Gorsh taking on Theo Allotey in the African Bantamweight division.

Adding to the spectacle were international boxing icons Anthony Joshua and Amir Khan, whose presence helped elevate the event’s profile on the global stage.

In light of the BBBoC’s concerns, the GBA is expected to work closely with the Sports Ministry and the NSA to address any regulatory gaps and ensure future boxing events adhere to international standards.

In a groundbreaking collaboration between the Sharaf Mahama Healthy Heart Campaign, the NDC Care for Change Campaign, and the NDC National Youth Wing’s Traders and Artisans Network (TAN), Sharaf Mahama has mobilized a multi-faceted team of health professionals, youth volunteers, and community leaders commandeered by Dr Fred Bedzrah, to address critical health and social needs in the Volta Region. This strategic partnership underscores the NDC’s unwavering commitment to improving lives while galvanizing support at the grassroots level for the upcoming elections.

For two weeks, from November 18th to November 30th, 2024, the Volta Region has become a hive of activity as Sharaf Mahama’s medical and volunteer teams descended upon key constituencies, including Ho Central, Ho West, Agortime Ziope, Adaklu, Ketu North, Anlo, and Keta, among others. Community after community welcomed these teams with open arms, receiving free medical and surgical care, public health education, and voter engagement efforts that have left an indelible mark on the hearts of over 14,600 patients taken care of so far and many more voters reached out too.

The impact of this initiative is monumental. Through free health outreaches, families burdened by inaccessible healthcare found relief. Through grassroots engagements, they found renewed hope in the policies and promises of the NDC, as explained passionately by Sharaf and his team of health professionals. By bridging the gap between the NDC’s manifesto and the realities on the ground, Sharaf Mahama has ensured that the message of a better Ghana reaches even the remotest corners of the Volta Region.

Sharaf Mahama’s leadership has gone beyond words—it is action-driven, empathetic, and resolute. His willingness to traverse the length and breadth of the region, engaging with traders, artisans, and everyday citizens, has reaffirmed the NDC’s message that no community is too small and no individual too insignificant in the march toward victory. “We are here to not only ask for your vote but to show you the NDC’s commitment to your well-being,” Sharaf noted in a solidarity message to people of the Volta Region.

The Traders and Artisans Network (TAN), another critical pillar in this campaign, has worked tirelessly under the direction of Dr Fred Bedzrah, to rally support through voter education, door-to-door outreach, and town hall meetings. TAN’s efforts have drawn overwhelming participation, with market women, carpenters, seamstresses, and other artisans pledging their support for the NDC.

Sharaf Mahama’s efforts have been met with widespread admiration and gratitude. Community leaders in Anlo Afiadnyigbal commended his resolve, describing him as “a young man with a heart for the people.” Health workers who partnered on the campaign spoke of his humility and focus, with one volunteer remarking, “Sharaf Mahama is not just here for politics—he is here for the people. His commitment is inspiring.”

The Sharaf Mahama-led initiative has not only cemented his role as a critical force in the NDC campaign but has also set a new standard for grassroots engagement. As the Volta Region emerges from this transformative experience, one thing is clear: with Sharaf Mahama leading the charge at the grassroots level, the NDC’s vision for a better, fairer Ghana is not just a promise—it is a commitment in action.

Stephen shared a fun time when he met Sharaf Mahama at a fitness and recreational club where they had both gone for a private activity.

The baller came in contact with Sharaf at the tennis cot and they were captured exchanging pleasantries.

Stephen Appiah was full of admiration for the former President’s son and described him as a hard guy.

He said, “this is my friend Sharaf, this guy likes flexing. He looks like a dbee but he’s not, he is a hard guy. We really enjoyed ourselves this morning.”

The video captured Kofi Atta Mills, the son of the late ex-president, John Evans Atta Mills and ex-president Mahama’s son, Sharaf.

The young men were spotted having a good time at an Eid party held over the weekend by Sharaf.

Dressing to fit the purpose of gathering, Mr Mills wore a white abaya while Mr Mahama was clad in a blue.

Parts of the video shared by ghhyper1 captured the two in a hearty conversation amidst laughter as they shook each other’s hand in the memorable video.

Sharaf has been on trials in England with the hope of securing a club in the summer transfer window.

In an interview on Betty Yawson’s Untold Stories, the young Mahama expressed his love for the game and the desire to become a professional football.

“It’s been my passion since I was young, I have been watching and playing football my whole life, so I’ve just carried it on and now I want to make it my profession.” he noted.

Sharaf added “I’m in England right now but I am on trials, trying to sign for a club. Hopefully, you will hear big news soon”.

When implored to reveal the club he is currently training with, he said “I am training with a couple of teams so hopefully when I get back, we will see which team I sign for,”

Sharaf has also been on trials with West African Football Academy (WAFA) in the Ghana premier league.

The son of the former President has been without a club but remains determined to pursue a career in football and hopeful of securing a deal this summer.

The photo saw Sharaf in a black life jacket over his bare chest and dark sun glasses.

The jacket gave way to his biceps which appeared well-built as a footballer.

Mr Mahama paid attention to his phone as he gave an onlooking pose for the camera by what looked like a pool.
