The government launched a program in March to provide tablets for over one million students to aid in teaching and learning, which the former President described as “vote buying”.

However, Jennifer Queen, speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Friday said the sharing of tablets is not for political gain.

According to her, sharing tablets was part of the government’s promise to digitise the education sector.

She added that, the laptops are not only for students but also teachers to enhance teaching and learning.

“Sharing tablets is not for political gains. It was part of our promise to Ghanaians and it’s a process. We had to make arrangements for it. This is the time the tablets are ready we can’t keep them so we need to share. The tablets are not just for students but teachers are beneficiaries as well to enhance the education sector,” she said.

Ms. Queen further mentioned that the government has made significant progress in reviving Ghana’s economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have done 80-85% of bringing the economy back to life. The whole world is reviving its economy post COVID, we have been able to reduce inflation,” she added.

What’s your vision? – NPP’s Jennifer Queen, Nana Yaa Jantuah ‘fight’ over Bawumia [Watch] http://34.58.148.58/whats-your-vision-npps-jennifer-queennana-yaa-jantuah-fight-over-bawumia-watch/ Fri, 09 Feb 2024 13:35:44 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2353784 The former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah clashed with Jennifer Queen Oforiwaa, the Deputy National Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over Dr. Bawumia’s recent lecturer.

The two women were sharing their views on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Friday.

Nana Yaa minced no words, expressing her skepticism about Dr. Bawumia’s vision, stressing that it failed to sway her.

She painted a stark picture, accusing the NPP of living in their own delusion.

“Bawumia’s rhetoric offered nothing groundbreaking, except perhaps for his remarks on the tax net, which was okay. Bawumia did not think about the Ghanaians in rural areas suffering. He thought Ghana was just Kumasi and Accra. I lost touch and stop watching his lecture. Bawumia indeed has no vision” Ms. Jantuah stated.

However, Jennifer Queen swiftly fired back, questioning Nana Yaa’s vision while working with the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC).

She defended Dr. Bawumia, insisting that he had indeed outlined a clear vision for Ghana’s future.

“Nana Yaa, do you have a vision at all. Dr. Bawumia is the beacon of hope to rescue Ghana from its challenges” she said.

The debate escalated as Jennifer Queen challenged Nana Yaa’s allegiance to the CPP.

She alleged that, based on her line of argument, she [Nana Yaa] is more National Democratic Congress (NDC) than CPP.

Tempers flared, with Nana Yaa demanding an apology from the Jennifer Queen.
