The beauty queen confirmed her child birth in an interview on Accra-based GhOne TV after the host stunned her with a congratulatory message.

Speaking on why it was kept out of the public, she said though it was not intentional it was good for personal reasons.

She said she just wanted her privacy and enjoy her family, adding that there was no need to display pictures out there.

According to the Ghanaian model and businesswoman, though they could have afforded one if they wanted to, her dad did not like the idea.

“We did a traditional wedding ceremony and that was what my Dad wanted which is the normal way so Sulley’s family respected that. We never did a white wedding because we all didn’t want to at that moment,” she said.

She explained that her husband was moving to another Club in England so relocating and all that was a whole lot, hence they didn’t want to add up plans for a white wedding.

However, her perspective on the significance of white weddings could have also influenced their decision.

She described the attacks as unfortunate and said she supports whatever Sulley does to fight racism.
Sulley, while playing in Serie A match between Pescara and Cagliari in Italy, walked off the pitch at the dying minutes of game in protest against racial abuse he was suffering from some fans. His complaint to the referee about the abuse rather got him booked and he walked off.
“I support it.  I think it is one of the biggest moments of his career. It is time to have someone with the passion to talk about it and deal with the issue of racism,” she said on Cheers Sports Programme, hosted by Nana Aba on GHone TV last Saturday.
“It is very unfortunate he has to go through that. This is a man who is passionate about the game. And I think we need to stop racism by educating our children and that is what Sulley as a father wanted to try and get across. This is because it started with a kid in the audience, who was calling him names and he didn’t understand because he compared him to his son. How will I feel if my son says something like that to another human being?” she added.
“When Sulley believes in something, he makes sure he is heard and I am supportive of his decision to use his voice to help other players who go through this …because racism is something that happens on daily basis but we needed someone who is brave enough to stand up against it,” she concluded.
Menaye, Miss Universe Ghana 2004, appeared on the sports show together with celebrated actress Yvonne Okoro and Tanzanian top musician, Vanessa Mdee, to talk about the 2017 edition of Miss Universe Ghana pageant. She has taken over the organisation of the pageant since the beginning of this year.
Meanwhile, in another news, Ghanaians are applauding Sulley Muntari, as he was seen helping to push a broken down public bus in Accra.
The broken down vehicle in Pantang, a suburb of Accra, was causing a massive traffic pile-up when the former AC Milan star jumped out of his SUV to help get the bus off the road to make way for smooth travel for commuters.

The Pescara player is a rugged middleman on the field who has been tagged a “no-nonsense” footballer by commentators due to his temperament.

However, his wife has a converse view about her better half. The former beauty queen has labelled her husband as the “sweetest father” who makes marriage and family life easier.

“Sulley is extremely jealous but respectful,” the 2004 Miss Universe Ghana told Starr Chat Wednesday , June 7, 2017.

She noted: “What you see on the pitch or outside is different from what you see at home. He’s the most sweetest father and you should want to have more babies for him.

“He’s focused and doesn’t want to be bullied. He loves football and eats and breathes it. When you try to take advantage of him then you’ll see the other side of him… We are private although public personalities. We respect one another.”

Speaking on the same show, Muntari was full of praise of his wife Menaye, labelling her as “a caring wife.”

The former Milan midfielder rubbished reports that their marriage will eventually breakdown because there will be clash of egos due to their celebrity status.

“When you treat a woman right you always get a beautiful home… respect is key. I respect her a lot and she also respects me. People talk a lot but we are focused,” the 32-year-old former Udinese midfielder remarked.
