Speaking on Joy Learning and Joy News’s The Career Trail with Irene Adubea Aning, Yvonne explained that the book was intended to serve as a guide for young people navigating the complexities of life.

“My story, obviously, is not supposed to have any negative impact on anyone. It is actually meant to help young people navigate through life,” she stated.

She added, however, that any negative reactions were not her concern. “If hearing my story or reading my story had any negative impact on you, then too bad,” she said.

Yvonne stressed that open dialogue is lacking in Ghanaian society, particularly on critical issues affecting the youth. She believes this silence often leads to misinformation, a cycle she is determined to break.

Following the release of her memoir, Yvonne embarked on a high school tour across the country to educate students on the dangers of abortion.

“I feel that we have failed a lot of young people because we don’t tell them the truth. After my book, I started a high school tour. I go to schools and tell them the dangers of abortion. How many celebrities will openly talk about an abortion?” she questioned.

She described the book as more than a personal narrative, calling it a valuable resource for both young people and parents.

“It’s a piece that everyone should have. Every young person, every parent. You learn so much from reading my book,” she said.

On whether she plans to write more books, Yvonne responded, “Let’s see how it goes.”

You’ll need doctors – Yvonne Nelson tells naysayers over upcoming book http://34.58.148.58/youll-need-doctors-yvonne-nelson-tells-naysayers-over-upcoming-book/ Wed, 08 Feb 2023 16:23:05 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2214274 Ghanaian actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson, has opened up on the first book she is currently working on.

According to her, it is a memoir that details her whole story of existence.

Miss Nelson, who did not give much details, hinted about the project while commenting on how hypocritical some Ghanaians can be.

The actress said she cannot fathom why people should have problems with others when they tell certain stories about their lives.

“From afar, you realise if I’m not promoting my movie, you won’t even see me with your eyes. So I mind my business but Ghanaians do not like the truth.

“The point is if someone is telling their story, allow them to tell their story; this is my story and I’m telling it, why do you have a problem? Then don’t read it and don’t listen because if you do, it means you are stalking me,” she said.

She made the disclosure on Ahosepe on Adom TV Badwam, stating it will be explosive and urged critics and trolls to be on the watch out.
