Lordina Mahama commissions new maternity, children’s ward at Asukawkaw http://34.58.148.58/lordina-mahama-commissions-new-maternity-childrens-ward-at-asukawkaw/ Sat, 28 Feb 2026 19:31:49 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2636273 The First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has commissioned a newly constructed and fully furnished maternity and children’s ward at the Asukawkaw Health Facility in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.

The facility comes with a modern delivery suite and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) equipped with incubators and phototherapy machines to provide specialised care for premature and critically ill newborns.

Beyond the NICU, the ward is fitted with key medical equipment such as an ultrasound machine, patient monitors, autoclaves, vaccine refrigerators, adjustable hospital beds and baby cots. It also includes nurses’ stations and dedicated examination rooms to facilitate smooth and efficient service delivery.

The commissioning ceremony, held on Saturday, February 28, was attended by a number of dignitaries, including the Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh; the Oti Regional Minister, John Kwadwo Gyapong; the Member of Parliament for Krachi East, Nelson Kofi Djabab; and the Municipal Chief Executive for Krachi East, Safo Nketia. Representatives of the Lordina Foundation were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Mahama underscored the importance of accessible maternal healthcare.

She emphasised that no woman should lose her life during childbirth and no child should begin life without adequate medical attention simply because of where they are born.

On his part, Health Minister Mintah Akandoh praised the collaborative efforts that led to the completion of the project, particularly acknowledging the role of the area’s lawmaker.

“I acknowledge the community’s initiative in engaging the Lordina Foundation, and I commend the Member of Parliament for Krachi East for his role in supporting this outcome,” he stated.

The new ward is expected to ease pressure on existing facilities and expand access to quality maternal and neonatal care across the municipality, offering renewed hope to families in Krachi East and surrounding communities.

Full text: Lordina Mahama’s speech at OAFLAD Assembly http://34.58.148.58/full-text-lordina-mahamas-speech-at-oaflad-assembly/ Mon, 16 Feb 2026 07:13:40 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2631376 Lordina Mahama’s statement at the 30th General Assembly of the OAFLAD on the sidelines of the AU Summit

Thank you for this opportunity to share the work of my office and the Lordina Foundation in transforming lives across Ghana.

The Lordina Foundation operates through health, education, women empowerment and poverty alleviation. As we advance towards 2026 and beyond, we are intensifying our focus on three critical areas.

Access to health: Health care access remain our cornerstone. We provide free nationwide screening, examination, counseling, and treatment for communities unable to afford medical care. In partnership with the Ghana AIDS Commission, we conducted comprehensive screening in Greater Accra and Bono regions, proving HIV testing and counseling, syphilis and hepatitis B screening, free natal education and safe delivery guidance, breast and eye screening with basic care, general check up and treatment.

Thousands of women and children and the elderly have received early detection, guidance and treatment. Lives have been saved and we combat stigma especially towards people with HIV and AIDS, promoting compassion and support.

Since 2024, we have conducted quarterly health screening for retired pastors and their wives providing screening, medication and dignity to these faithful servants of God.

The foundation has built three modern maternity and children’s ward at Bole, Nkroransa and Bodom. There is another facility nearing completion in Asukoko. We have renovated facilities and donated critical equipment, hospital beds, incubators, ultrasound machines amongst others nationwide.

In 2025, I hosted fellow first ladies at the ICASA conference in Accra. With UNAID, WHO, and the UNFPA, we addressed prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission and newborn infections across Africa.

Going forward, we’ll expand the interventions to hard to reach communities, support facility construction, hospital equipment and health education through local leaders. We’ll collaborate with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund to fund treatment not covered under the national health insurance scheme.

Good health is the foundation. When women and children are healthy, families are stronger and nations prosper.

Education: I’ll continue to support brilliant but underprivileged students through scholarship. Recently, the Foundation partnered with Merck Foundation to launch the education scholarship program.

It is currently supporting 40 underprivileged junior high school girls with uniforms, stationary, amongst others, helping them to stay in school and achieve their dreams. My focus is simple. Education unlocks potential. Every girl with the right support becomes a leader, change maker and nation builder.

Economic Empowerment of Women: We support women artisans; hair dressers and dressmakers by providing tools and equipment to help them run their businesses after training and by helping them to begin the process of securing decent livelihoods.

In 2026, my office will continue empowering women in small and medium scale businesses helping improve profit, build enterprises and independent fulfilling lives.

We will align with government initiatives such as the 24-hour economy and the Women Development Bank which will be launched this year.

The foundation will collaborate to ensure that women and girls receive the capital support they need. We’ll introduce basic training in beading, hairdressing technology and practical skills.

In today’s digital world, the internet offers instant and significant opportunities with proper knowledge and tools.

When we empower a woman economically, we empower an entire family and they uplift the whole community.

I am fully committed to supporting OAFLAD in building a resilient campaign with focus on access to health. This aligns seamlessly with our mission that good health is the foundation of life especially for women and children. Through medical outreaches and community support, we are working towards a future where no woman or child is left behind due to a lack of quality health care access.

I invite all partners, institutions, and friends to join this journey. Left us build systems that protects women and children and gives then hope. My office remains a true partner in this important work

OAFLAD Assembly: Lordina Mahama pledges expanded health, education support for women and children http://34.58.148.58/oaflad-assembly-lordina-mahama-pledges-expanded-health-education-support-for-women-and-children/ Sun, 15 Feb 2026 17:17:51 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2631253 Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama, has announced renewed and expanded efforts to improve healthcare access, education, and economic empowerment for women and children, positioning these priorities as critical pillars for Ghana’s long-term development.

Delivering a keynote address at the 30th General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development in Addis Ababa on Sunday, February 15, 2026, Mrs. Mahama outlined her foundation’s ambitious plans while calling for stronger continental partnerships to build resilience among Africa’s most vulnerable populations.

Speaking on the theme, “Building Resilience for Women and Children: Climate, Conflict, and Sustainable Futures,” the First Lady emphasised that health remains the foundation upon which strong families and nations are built.

She noted that her charitable organisation, the Lordina Foundation, has intensified nationwide health interventions, including free screenings for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, breast cancer, eye conditions, and prenatal care.

These initiatives, undertaken in partnership with the Ghana AIDS Commission and other stakeholders, have already reached thousands of beneficiaries, particularly in the Greater Accra and Bono regions. The programmes have also helped reduce stigma associated with HIV/AIDS through counselling, treatment, and public education.

Mrs. Mahama highlighted significant investments in healthcare infrastructure, including the construction of maternity and children’s wards at Bole District Hospital, Nkoranza Municipal Hospital, and Bodom Health Centre. Another facility in the Oti Region is nearing completion, while existing centres such as the Hohoe Adabraka Health Centre have been renovated and expanded.

She added that the foundation has supported health facilities across the country with essential medical equipment, including incubators, ultrasound machines, hospital beds, and phototherapy units, helping to strengthen maternal and child healthcare delivery.

Looking ahead, the First Lady announced plans to expand health outreach to underserved and remote communities. This will include training healthcare personnel, providing additional equipment, and supporting uninsured patients through the Ghana Medical Child Fund.

“When women and children are healthy, families are stronger, and nations prosper,” she told the gathering of African leaders and partners.

Beyond healthcare, Mrs. Mahama reaffirmed her commitment to education, describing it as a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty. Through a partnership with the Merck Foundation, the Lordina Foundation has launched the Education Linda Scholarship Programme, which currently supports 40 junior high school girls with school fees, uniforms, and educational supplies.

She stressed that empowering girls through education creates future leaders and strengthens national development.

The First Lady also outlined economic empowerment initiatives aimed at supporting women, particularly artisans such as dressmakers and hairdressers, by providing skills training and startup tools.

She revealed plans to expand these programmes in 2026 to support small and medium-sized enterprises, aligning with Ghana’s broader economic agenda, including the 24-hour economy policy and the proposed Women’s Development Bank.

Community-based training programmes in digital skills, beading, and vocational trades will also be introduced to improve women’s economic independence and resilience.

“When we empower a woman economically, we empower an entire family and uplift a whole community,” she said.

Mrs. Mahama called on fellow African leaders, development partners, and international organisations to deepen collaboration and invest in sustainable programmes that prioritise the wellbeing of women and children.

The OAFLAD General Assembly brought together First Ladies and development partners from across Africa to address pressing issues affecting women and children, particularly in the context of climate change, conflict, and economic challenges.

Her address reinforced Ghana’s continued commitment to advancing healthcare, education, and economic opportunities for women and children, while positioning these efforts as essential to building stronger, more resilient communities across Africa.

Abuakwa South MP names baby after Lordina Mahama http://34.58.148.58/abuakwa-south-mp-names-baby-after-lordina-mahama/ Tue, 30 Dec 2025 13:50:24 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2614695 Abuakwa South Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, has named a newborn baby girl after First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama, following months of support he provided to a 13-year-old mother during her pregnancy.

The teenage girl, from Adukrom near Boamang in the Ashanti Region, became pregnant after allegedly being ganged-raped and was left vulnerable with little support from her family or community.

Hearing about her situation on Kumasi-based Oyerepa TV, the lawmaker stepped in to provide medical care, food, and essential items to ensure the health and safety of both mother and child.

After the successful delivery, the MP chose to name the baby after the First Lady, explaining that the decision was guided by a spiritual experience rather than political motives.

“I was on a plane to the USA from London when I suddenly fell asleep, or was in a trance. Then I heard a voice saying I should name the baby, yet to be delivered, after the First Lady,” Dr. Agyemang recounted.

He added that initially he questioned why he should follow this instruction. “The voice then asked me who the First Lady of Ghana was, and I answered quietly in my head. Then I got up,” he said.

At the time, the MP did not know the gender of the unborn child. “The name was given to me by God. I didn’t even know the gender of the baby, yet I was asked to name her after the First Lady,” he said.

Dr. Agyemang clarified that although he had other naming options, including naming the child after his own mother, he felt compelled to follow the spiritual direction.

“Ideally, I wouldn’t have named her after the First Lady, but the voice said so. This tells me that we should continue to help each other in the best of our ability without any political colourisation,” he added.

The MP emphasized that the naming represents compassion, gratitude, and collective responsibility toward supporting vulnerable children and survivors of abuse.

He expressed hope that the baby may grow to emulate the First Lady’s example in making a positive impact in society.

“We are spiritual beings, and we believe that when we name a child after someone, the child inherits the traits and character of that person. I believe the newborn baby will grow and become like First Lady Lordina Mahama in the future,” he concluded.

Lordina Mahama donates to six orphanages ahead of Christmas http://34.58.148.58/lordina-mahama-donates-to-six-orphanages-ahead-of-christmas/ Mon, 22 Dec 2025 10:30:47 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2612937 The First Lady of Ghana, Lordina Mahama, has made generous donations to six orphanages across the country ahead of Christmas celebrations.

The beneficiary institutions include Osu Children’s Home and Christ Faith Foster Home (Frafraha) in Greater Accra; Bethesda and FrankMay Homes in the Bono East Region; and Anfaani and Tamale Children’s Home in the Northern Region.

These donations form part of Mrs. Mahama’s long-standing tradition, through the Lordina Foundation, of providing food and sanitary items to her six adopted orphanages spanning three regions.

Over two decades ago, her foundation adopted these homes as special projects, driven by her compassion for society’s most vulnerable.

She has also maintained a similar pledge to residents of the Gambaga “Witches Camp,” supporting them with essentials for nearly 20 years.

Every Christmas and Easter, the foundation delivers generous supplies to bring joy and inclusion to these groups during festive periods.

This year’s donations included bags of rice and gari, cooking oil, boxes of mackerel and sardines, spaghetti, Milo, Nido milk powder, tom brown, full-cream milk, biscuits, assorted drinks, bottled water, chocolate, tissue paper, sanitary pads, diapers, and liquid soap.

In a special highlight, the foundation partnered with the “La Bonne Femme” group to host a lively party for children at Osu Children’s Home. The event featured a sumptuous meal, snacks, and fun activities including musical chairs, dance competitions, and a bouncing castle.

Board members of the Lordina Foundation attended, alongside dignitaries such as Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo.

The foundation’s chairman conveyed festive greetings from the board and First Lady, stating: “On behalf of our mother, the First Lady, and the board members of the Lordina Foundation, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. It is Mama Lordina’s heartfelt desire to see you all happy and smiling, and I believe she would be thrilled to see your joy today.”

Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Technical Director at the Office of the First Lady, delivered a heartfelt message from Mrs. Mahama: “Our mother and First Lady of Ghana asked me to come and celebrate this special day with you.

Though Mama Lordina could not attend in person, she sends her warmest regards. She wants you to know you are not alone, and she loves you all dearly. Be obedient and respectful, and God Almighty will bless you.”

Through these initiatives, the Lordina Foundation continues to inspire hope and compassion among Ghana’s poor and vulnerable, with a special focus on women and children.

Mrs Lordina Dramani Mahama, First Lady of the Republic of Ghana at the 7th Annual Prayer Service for Children Church Centre For the United NaGons, Tillman Chapel, New York.

Monday, 22 September 2025.
Your Excellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Brothers and Sisters in faith,

I bring warm greetings from the good people of Ghana, from my husband, John Dramani
Mahama, and from my family.

I also extend well wishes from the Lordina Foundation, through which we work tirelessly to
improve the lives of women and children in Ghana.

Thank you for the invitation to the Annual Prayer Service for Children. It is a powerful event hosted by World Vision International and your partners.

On behalf of the children from around the world, thank you for your unwavering commitment to the vulnerable.

I am pleased with this year’s theme, “A Moment of Hope.” It is very relevant, particularly as
our leaders gather for the 80th UN General Assembly at a time when the global order is
rapidly changing.

We gather here, from different nations and cultures, but we are united by our shared faith.
Through prayer and collective action, we can create a world where every child is protected
and empowered to achieve their full potential.

To quote President John Mahama’s words, “the challenges facing our children today are
immense, but they can be tackled through decisive leadership.”

Across the world, children are affected by conflicts and humanitarian crises. The UN estimates that hundreds of thousands of children are caught up in armed conflicts.

A significant number of these children are in Africa, where they are robbed of their childhood, forced to fight, and go through terrible experiences.

These are precious lives, destroyed by circumstances beyond their control. When nations fail to focus on policies that safeguard the home, strengthen communities, and nurture the
youth, it is our children who suffer the most.

When conflicts erupt, they are the ones who lose parents, siblings, homes, and dreams and carry emotional scars that can last a lifetime. This is why this prayer service is so vital.

It is a moment for us to pause, reflect, and seek divine intervention.
It is a moment to collectively pray for the wisdom our leaders need to make the right
decisions.

As the bible reminds us in Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

With divine wisdom, our leaders can follow paths of peace and progress for all children.
Prayer builds strength, not just in the children who face adversity, but in us, as parents, to continue to work hard for their well-being.

Jesus Himself demonstrated profound love for children, telling us in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

And in Chapter 18:3, He calls us to learn from their meekness and purity. It is in this spirit that I humbly lift this prayer for the children of Ghana and the world:

Heavenly Father, I lift the needy and orphaned children in Ghana and across the world into
your loving care. I ask that you surround them with protection, comfort, and hope for a
brighter future. Provide for their daily needs, including food, shelter, clothing, and education.

Bless those who dedicate their time and resources to care for them. May these children grow in wisdom, strength, and joy, knowing that you love them.

Guide their paths with opportunities, surround them with kindness, and let their lives shine as testimonies of your unfailing grace and provision. Amen.

My dear friends, in this “Moment of Hope,” let us renew our collective commitment. I know
that God, the Almighty that we serve, will continue to bless and guide the President of Ghana to implement policies that protect our children, open opportunities, and prepare them for a good future.

Thank you, and may God bless and protect our children as we lift them up in prayer, now and always.

Lordina Mahama urges global action for children at UNGA prayer service http://34.58.148.58/lordina-mahama-urges-global-action-for-children-at-unga-prayer-service/ Mon, 22 Sep 2025 16:25:57 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2581232 First Lady, Mrs Lordina Dramani Mahama, has called on world leaders and faith communities to step up protection and support for vulnerable children, delivering a sermon-like appeal at the 7th Annual Prayer Service for Children held at the United Nations’ Tillman Chapel.

Speaking at the event organised by World Vision International, Mrs Mahama framed the gathering around this year’s theme, “A Moment of Hope,” and urged collective prayer to back decisive political action for children affected by conflict and humanitarian crises.

“We gather here, from different nations and cultures, but we are united by our shared faith,” she told attendees.

“Through prayer and collective action, we can create a world where every child is protected and empowered to achieve their full potential.”

The First Lady warned that children often bear the worst consequences when states and communities fail, noting that many young lives in Africa and elsewhere are lost or traumatised by war and displacement.

Quoting President John Mahama, she said, “The challenges facing our children today are immense, but they can be tackled through decisive leadership.”

Mrs. Mahama invoked scripture to underline her plea for wise leadership and communal care.

“As the Bible reminds us in Proverbs 9:10, ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…’ With divine wisdom, our leaders can follow paths of peace and progress for all children,” she said.

She also lifted up a prayer for needy and orphaned children worldwide:

“Heavenly Father, I lift the needy and orphaned children in Ghana and across the world into your loving care. I ask that you surround them with protection, comfort, and hope for a brighter future. Provide for their daily needs, including food, shelter, clothing, and education.”

Mrs Mahama used the platform to commend the work of faith-based and humanitarian groups and to reaffirm the Lordina Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of women and children in Ghana.

She urged the international community gathered for the UN General Assembly to pair policy with compassion so that prayer becomes action on the ground.

The prayer service, held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, drew faith leaders, diplomats, and civil society partners who joined in solidarity for children’s protection and wellbeing.

After an electrifying walk-through of sections of the Race Course market, during which she interacted directly with the traders, Mrs. Mahama shared key Mahama initiatives with them that would impact their businesses and lives.

She refuted unfounded claims that the NDC and Mahama would cancel the Free SHS policy, urging the women to reject the lies.

“Some people are going around telling mothers that my husband will cancel the Free SHS policy when he becomes president. I assure you, as his wife, he has not said that anywhere. In fact, he has great plans to improve the policy to make it better,” she emphasized.

She urged them to reject the lies and choose development and improvement in their business and living conditions by voting overwhelmingly for John Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates in their areas, stressing the importance of securing a majority in parliament for the NDC.

Reacting to the warm reception from the traders, Mrs. Mahama said, “I am very pleased with the love you have shown me today. This is an unforgettable moment for me and all of us.”

Other speakers at the event reiterated the NDC’s long-standing commitment to the people of the Ashanti Region. They assured the traders that a future NDC government would initiate phase two of the Kejetia Market project and upgrade the Racecourse Market to provide relief from the scorching sun.

Earlier, Mrs. Mahama met representatives of various markets in Kumasi to discuss their challenges and how the NDC and Mahama’s policies would help improve their circumstances.

The prospect of affordable loans for women and traders was particularly welcomed, as current lending rates have a severe impact on their small businesses.

Moment Prof Mills asked Lordina Mahama to stop listening to radio – Mahama recalls http://34.58.148.58/moment-prof-mills-asked-lordina-mahama-to-stop-listening-to-radio-mahama-recalls/ Fri, 28 Jul 2023 07:13:49 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2277732 In a nostalgic recollection, former President John Mahama has fondly recounted a touching moment involving his wife, Lordina Mahama, and the late President, Prof John Evans Atta Mills.

According to him, on many occasions, Lordina had expressed her concern to Prof Mills about the relentless criticism he was facing, which had been taking a toll on her, causing sleepless nights.

Curious about where she encountered these stories, Prof Atta Mills asked Lordina, “Where do you listen to such stories?” To which she responded, “When you switch the radio on, don’t you hear?”

Speaking further, the NDC flagbearer said, in a bid to protect his wife from the distressing content, Prof Mills queried, “Why do you listen to it? I, Prof, I don’t listen because I don’t want high blood pressure.”

Concerned for Mrs Mahama’s well-being and seeking to offer a positive alternative, Prof Mills suggested: “Why don’t you watch ‘Africa Magic’ on DSTV instead? There are lots of interesting African films there that could be a delightful diversion.”

In the interview with KSM, former President Mahama revealed that in the 2020 December Election, Lordina initially had concerns about him running again. However, her unwavering love and support prevailed, and she stood firmly behind his decision.

Similarly, when the prospect of contesting again in 2024 came about, she was hesitant and questioned why he endured insults and propagandas. Nonetheless, she has offered her unwavering support.

Describing his family as a pillar of support, President Mahama proudly said, “With my kids, they will always support me, and they have come of age, so they understand it better. They have taken it very well, and they support it wholeheartedly.”

I will reveal how Lordina Mahama said she and her husband will deal with me – Koku Anyidoho http://34.58.148.58/i-will-reveal-how-lordina-mahama-said-she-and-her-husband-will-deal-with-me-koku-anyidoho/ Sun, 20 Mar 2022 19:01:31 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2093516 Founder of the Atta-Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has threatened to reveal details of threats made to him by the former first lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama.

The former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) disclosed this in a tweet on Sunday, March 20.

He said, “I will tell the story of how Lordina Mahama called me to threaten me that she and her husband will deal with me”.

The tweet by the expunged NDC member, adds to series of scathing comments, which he has been making against the former President, John Dramani Mahama, and other leading members of the NDC over the last 24 hours.

In one of such tweets, he further wrote, “I have experienced death very closely and so I don’t fear death. I am not a litigant and shall not be one! But, if outright urchins stand in the name of John Mahama, to accuse me of killing my own 8yr-old daughter, and President Atta-Mills; I shall CLEAR my name. Why is JM quiet?”.

In another tweet on Sunday, Koku Anyidoho said, “Can Omane-Boamah and Okudjeto Ablakwa say they did not call me less than 48hrs after the death of President Atta Mills, only for Omane-Boamah to tell me to leave the Presidency because the new President, John Dramani Mahama, said he can’t work with me for obvious reasons ?”

The tweets from the former presidential staffer, as monitored by JoyNews relate to his reservations about the death of former President Atta Mills, and how he says some members of the NDC have repeatedly accused him of killing his former boss.

According to him, associates of John Mahama, are deliberately dragging his name in the mud, and therefore he will speak up to defend himself.

Mr. Anyidoho also took a swipe at the brother of the late Professor Mills, Samuel Atta Mills, whom he said, should ‘NEVER dare him to talk”.

“I have consistently said that if, Sammy Atta Mills, (MP for KEEA), makes a big mistake and crosses my path; that would be his own business”, one of his tweets said.

However, none of the persons Koku Anyidoho has mentioned in his recent tweets have responded to his allegations.

Meanwhile, reacting to his comments, scores of twitter users have expressed their displeasure with Koku Anyidoho. According to them, his approach in dealing with his grievances are not appropriate and therefore he must find better ways of airing his concerns.

Mr. Koku Anyidoho was earlier suspended from the NDC on February 8, 2021, after a petition by some members of the NDC. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the party in a letter stated that, at a meeting on January 20, 2021, the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) considered two separate petitions from two members.

He explained that two petitioners lodged an official complaint against his former deputy “which is viewed in breach of the party’s disciplinary code for its members as contained in the NDC constitution”.

Mr Mobarak Abdul-Karim (who is the Oti Regional Communication Officer), and Eric Adjei (Bono Regional Deputy Communication Officer) were the ones who brought the case against Koku Anyidoho.

According to the NDC’s chief scribe, after the party deliberated on the petition, they took a decision to suspend Koku Anyidoho in accordance with Articles 46(1), 46(6) and 46(8)(b) of the party’s constitution.

Later, he was officially dismissed from the NDC on July 27, 2021.

In a letter addressed to Mr Anyidoho, the party stated that the decision comes after the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) considered the report and recommendations of the National Disciplinary Committee on the case of misconduct and anti-party behaviour brought against him.

“The Committee’s report found you guilty of the said allegations of misconduct and anti-party behaviour and recommended your outright expulsion from the Party. You are, therefore, by the decision of FEC expelled from the National Democratic Congress and for that matter, you are no more recognized as a member of the Party and cannot carry yourself as such,” part of the statement by the General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia, read.

Why are you after Lordina and not Nana Konadu? – A Plus asks NPP members http://34.58.148.58/why-are-you-after-lordina-and-not-nana-konadu-a-plus-asks-npp-members/ Wed, 14 Jul 2021 13:59:29 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1986894 Musician cum politician, Kwame A Plus, says New Patriotic Party (NPP) members who are asking former First Lady, Lordina Mahama, to return allowances paid her in the previous government are rather after ex-President John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, he doesn’t comprehend why NPP gurus such as John Boadu, the party’s General Secretary will ask Mrs Mahama to refund her allowances while it’s evident she isn’t the only former First Lady living in the country.

In a Facebook post, Kwame A Plus said no one asked First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second Lady Samira Bawumia to return their allowances after days of backlash, hence it’s not apt to ask Mrs Mahama to emulate the act.

Additionally, A Plus said the attack on Mrs Mahama goes a long way to prove that his husband, former President Mahama is the one they are after.

In a long piece on his Facebook page, A Plus further queried why the NPP will go after only Mrs Mahama when other former First Ladies such as Nana Agyemang Konadu Rawlings and Madam Theresa Kufuor among others were equally paid allowances.

Suddenly, these m*f*s in NPP have come together to ask Lordina Mahama to return allowances (not salary) she received yet they are not asking Nana Konadu who has benefited from Nsawam to Cantonments to return allowances because the target is John Mahama.

Why attack Lordina and leave out former First Ladies? – A Plus

After giving everything including free water and electricity to Ghanaians, they voted massively against the NPP. The reason is that the citizens knew the electricity and water were a trick. That is why they voted against them.

Sadly, the many wise people who speak sense on behalf of the party have been sidelined by a bunch of people who take the wrong bus to school daily ? Even the mentally disturbed person at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital knows that they are dumb!!!

Nobody has asked the former and current first lady to return ALLOWANCES paid them. Kwame Nkrumah’s and Dr Hilla Liman’s families have always been taken care of by current and previous governments. Akufo-Addo has taken care of Nana Konadu big time. We all accept that they deserve some allowances.

What people are against is to make them Article 71 holders and give them back pay and ex-gratia.

Fortunately, the current first lady who is my personal person herself has rejected it. I love her, her sister planned my wedding. I’m very close to her family. I’m biased towards them, I won’t lie, but I was disappointed when I heard the news and I’m happy she made me proud.

Suddenly, these mof*s in NPP have come together to ask Lordina Mahama to return allowances (not salary) she received yet they are not asking Nana Konadu who has benefited from Nsawam to Cantonments to return allowances because the target is John Mahama.

NPP had the men!!! Now they have a boy’s brigade and are led by dadabee ??? who can’t slap them to stop fooling!!!

You can spend your day here insulting. I’m going to chill in Porto Rico. Will send you photos ok ??????.

Looking back at our journey of love and parenting, I am convinced I chose the best life partner and father for our children.
