In a tribute issued on Thursday, the Center’s Chief Executive Officer, John Aggrey, extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, describing the incident as a devastating national loss.

Among the victims were Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Minister for the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.

Others are Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman, NDC, and ⁠Mr Samuel Aboagye, Former Parliamentary candidate

The rest are Squadron Leader Peter Anala, ⁠Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and ⁠Sergeant Ernest Addo

The ministers were en route to Obuasi for an official engagement when the Ghana Armed Forces aircraft went down in the Adansi Akrofuom District.

Mr Aggrey praised the fallen statesmen as “dedicated public servants who tirelessly contributed to the nation’s development and progress,” adding that “Ghana has been robbed of patriots whose legacies will endure.”

He called for strength and unity as the nation mourns, urging Ghanaians to uphold the memory of the departed with dignity and resolve.

The team visited Pakro, a farming community in the Akuapem Constituency, where they donated a variety of stationery and food to pupils of St. James Anglican Basic School.

GRCCR is a non-profit organisation operating in Ghana under the auspices of the Russian Embassy in Accra.

Dr. John Aggrey, Chief Executive Officer of the centre, who led the team for the donation, highlighted that the Pakro donation marks the centre’s first corporate social responsibility initiative.

He added that the centre is committed to continuing such efforts, as it believes in supporting the vulnerable in society.
