The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has assured that it is fully prepared for its presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026, assuring party members and the public of a credible, transparent, and well-secured process.

A total of 211,849 delegates are expected to vote at 333 polling centres across the country’s 276 constituencies, with polls opening at 0700 hours and closing at 1400 hours.

According to him, the date should serve as a moment for sober reflection on presidential leadership and the values required to govern Ghana, rather than internal alignments.

The five aspirants contesting the January 31 NPP presidential primaries are Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong and Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum.

“January 31 should remind us of leadership and readiness to govern Ghana — not camps.”

Mr Andah emphasised that strong political parties are built on shared values, discipline, and unity of purpose, not factional loyalty. He expressed confidence in the ability of the NPP to approach this moment with wisdom and maturity.

Acknowledging those who have stepped forward to offer themselves for leadership, he commended their courage, while stressing that unity must remain the guiding principle.

“To those who have stepped forward to serve, I respect your courage. To our party, I call for unity. To Ghana, I stand for leadership.”

He concluded by noting that only a united and disciplined party can credibly present leadership worthy of the trust of the Ghanaian people.

Let us go the extra mile and be responsible on our roads - George Andah

“Today three years down the line, and after three surgeries, His faithfulness continues to be great,” he posted on his Facebook wall on November 3.

“I continue to give thanks to God and all who played various roles outside the norm to support, from prayers, facilitating airlifting, performing the procedures, post-surgery management, visits, phone calls, messages, etc. to save us,” he added.

According to him, the fact that road accidents in Ghana continue to take more lives than Covid-19 is a matter of serious concern for all and called for road users to have a sense of responsibility when using the road.

“Road safety and accident reports indicate that year to date, road accidents have claimed more lives in Ghana than Covid-19. Lives matter, let’s make our road travel experiences in Ghana better for all,” he concluded.
