In a viral photo, the two were captured together with broad smiles on their faces a day after the Majority Leader went hard on Gabby Otchere-Darko.

Gabby Otchere-Darko, in the company of O.B. Amoah, the deputy minister for local government, visited the majority leader in his office in Parliament on Wednesday, November 16, 2022,

Mr Otchere-Darko has disputed claims by Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu that he said the Majority Leader was behind moves to get the Finance Minister removed.

Responding to reports that the Majority Leader also accused him of trying to undermine his attempt to be the Suame MP, Mr Otchere-Darko said on Facebook: “I have since sent him a message on this denying same.”

Reports indicated that Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said Mr Otchere-Darko had called him the ringleader behind the NPP MPs calling for the resignation of the Finance Minister.

These claims by Mr Otchere-Darko are said to have come during a broadcast on Asaase Radio.

But he refuted these claims in his Facebook post.

Meanwhile, the two men seems to have resolved their issue after a member of the NPP posted on his Facebook page that Mr Otchere-Darko had visited the Majority Leader.

He wrote: I joined Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko this morning to the office of the Leader of our party in Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu (MP). My two Seniors were at their usual best. We are NPP. Difficult times rather strengthens our bond and our collective resolve. President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia will see us through. This too shall pass. Let’s stay together.

Gabby Otchere-Darko replies Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu http://34.58.148.58/gabby-otchere-darko-replies-kyei-mensah-bonsu/ Wed, 16 Nov 2022 13:49:52 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2184286 New Patriotic Party Stalwart, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has denied accusing the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, of masterminding the NPP MPs calls for the resignation of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

This follows an outburst by the Majority Leader on Kumasi-based Sompa Radio concerning some “unfounded allegations” Mr. Otchere-Darko is alleged to have made against him on Asaase Radio.

According to Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, “From nowhere, we hear Gabby Otchere-Darko on his Asaase Radio accusing me of instigating what was happening, for what? What do I stand to gain from that?”

The Suame lawmaker denied the alleged accusation and further accused the NPP leading member of being in cahoots with his political rivals to unseat him during the Parliamentary primaries in 2016.

He said, “You [Gabby] are the same person who wrote something for someone to publish on his radio station that I will lose if I contest for re-election, hence my saying that I will not contest again. Gabby Otchere-Darko, have you contested an election before? They are the same people who sponsored people to contest against me in 2016, it didn’t work for them.”

But replying to the Majority Leader’s comments, Mr Otchere-Darko on his Facebook page denied the accusations.

“I have said no such thing on Asaase Radio or any other radio station or media house, whether on air or online, either directly or indirectly. Indeed, my position, so far, on this issue in Parliament within the Majority Caucus, has been to deliberately stay away from commenting on it publicly,” he said.

Currently, Mr Otchere-Darko is serving as counsel for the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who is facing a motion of censure from the Minority side of Parliament.
