The deceased, identified as Makimor Yagyeger, was found floating in stagnant water.

Eyewitnesses who first spotted the body quickly alerted the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), which carried out a recovery operation to retrieve her remains.

Atebubu GNFS Station Officer 1, Kabori Sakari, confirmed the incident to Adom News and cautioned the public to remain vigilant, especially around water bodies during the rainy season.

Residents expressed shock and grief over the tragedy and are urging authorities to act swiftly to uncover the circumstances behind the child’s mysterious death. Some have called for a full-scale investigation, alleging possible foul play and demanding justice for the young girl.

The body has since been handed over to the police for further investigation and autopsy.

Kasapa FM reports the man, Ekow Quainoo, popularly known as Osor, had been missing for some time now.

Residents conducted a search for him but he was nowhere to be found.

A resident was going to the riverside to cut bamboo when he saw the lifeless body of the deceased floating on the River on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

It is unclear how he died in the river.

The Esiohyia Police were informed of the incident after which they went and retrieved the body.

The body has been deposited at the Saltpond Government Hospital Mortuary for Preservation.

The Police, have, commenced investigation into the matter.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased were both 200-Level students and were writing ongoing examinations when the incident happened.

According to an eyewitness, a KWASU student, who spoke on condition of anonymity: “We suspect they were lovers and became concerned when they were not seen during an examination and for three days.

“It was when some of their friends got to their hostel room outside the school that they found them dead and naked.”

 Reacting to the development, the Director, University Relations of KWASU, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, said there was no official communication on the matter.

However, the Police Spokesman in the state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident, said: “The information is that the two of them were found dead inside their room and the police were alerted.

“Our officers pulled down the door and they were taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) for autopsy.

“Investigation into the matter is ongoing,” Okasanmi said. 

The decomposed body of the woman was discovered almost five days after the incident.

It is, however, not known if she committed suicide or was murdered since the kitchen door was locked from the outside.

Reports also indicate that the owner of the kitchen had travelled and had no idea the woman had committed suicide in her kitchen.

The victim was said to be sick and seeking healing from a prayer camp but left the prayer camp some days ago.

Speaking to Yaw Boagyan, some residents in the Community said, the pungent smell in the community, led them to the kitchen to discover the woman hanging in the kitchen.

Meanwhile, some of the community members say, they are now living in fear as they suspect someone may have killed her and hanged her in the kitchen.

The door was also locked outside with the windows locked which indicates that someone may have killed her and hanged her in the kitchen.

The Assembly Member of Abeadze Kyeakor Electoral Area, Hon. Abraham Ashun, also said this is the first time such an incident has happened in the Abeadze Kyeakor Community.

He said the case has been reported to the Abeadze Domenase Police Command for investigation.

The deceased, who is hypertensive, according to a family source, checked into the Climax Hotel in Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region with a young lady at about 5:00 pm on May 4, 2022.

Hours later, workers at the hotel heard the lady screaming for help and they rushed to the room but found the man lying motionless on the bed with foam from his mouth.

The manager of the hotel, Kofi Sintim, informed the Police at about 9:00 pm the same day about the situation.

Police personnel led by Detective Sergeant Sabutu Caesar proceeded to the hotel.

The deceased was found lying dead in a supine position wearing Jean trousers.

The police investigators searched the hotel room and examined the body of the deceased but no marks were found.

The police team however retrieved an aphrodisiac drug known as Dragon Spray from the pocket of the deceased.

While the police officers were preparing the body to be conveyed, the father In-law of the deceased who is a Fire officer and other family members, arrived at the scene having heard the incident.

The family revealed that the deceased was hypertensive.

It is therefore suspected that the use of sexual enhancement drug might have triggered a heart attack.

However, the police are waiting for the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death. The lady has been arrested to assist the investigation.

Debanhi Escobar had been snapped standing alone on a notoriously dangerous stretch of road leading into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, earlier this month.

The eerie image, showing the 18-year-old law undergraduate on ‘Death Road’, went viral in the days before her body was discovered in the cistern of an abandoned motel.

Debanhi had been on a night out with two pals when she got into a roadside cab with a driver, identified only as Jesus, aged 47.

He is understood to have been trusted by the group, but for reasons currently unclear he dumped her near the border with the US at around 6 am on April 9.

It is believed the pair had become embroiled in a row.

After a 13-day search, her dad Mario Escobar confirmed that the body of a young woman found on the site of Nueva Castilla motel, a few hundred metres from where Debanhi had been pictured, was his daughter.

However, the local authorities have yet to confirm the match and DNA tests are currently ongoing.

On Friday morning, a team of divers found the body in the cistern at a depth of about four metres.

The victim’s father said: “My daughter is dead and I do not know what to do.

“I demand to know why Debanhi disappeared.”

News of the teenager’s disappearance gripped Mexico after the photo of her standing by the roadside after getting out of the taxi was widely shared by local media.

The photo was reportedly taken by the cab driver and was sent to the victim’s friends when they asked him about her whereabouts.

In 2021, 77 people disappeared on ‘Death Road’ where Debanhi was last seen.

CCTV cameras filmed Debanhi entering the site of the trucking company Alcosa Transportes Internacionales just after the cabbie left her stranded.

She was reported as missing the next morning.

Footage reportedly shows her entering the company premises, but no footage shows her leaving.

Her body was found in the motel cistern nearby, between 300 and 500 metres from where she was photographed on the side of the road.

According to local reports, the driver, booked by one of the victim’s friends, had his phone switched off during the trip.

He has since been arrested on drugs charges but the police also suspect him of being linked to the young woman’s death.

Local media said the taxi driver has been investigated for the attempted kidnapping of women and harassment in the past.

The investigation continues.

According to the National Missing Persons Commission, seven women are reported as missing in Mexico every day.

A 38-year-old teacher of Atobiase D/A basic school in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region, Francis Abu, has been found dead in a gutter.

The lifeless body of Mr Abu was found on Monday, March 21, 2022.

Speaking to Adom News’ correspondent, Isaac K. Normanyo, the wife of the deceased, Lydia Amoakuwaa, said he left home on Sunday to see a Catholic priest.

However, he did not return home only to be found dead.

Francis Appiahene, the Assembly member for Aburaso electoral area of New Edubiase where the teacher lived, said he rushed to the scene upon receiving the news.

The New Edubiase District Police Commander, DSP Francis Ackah, who confirmed the incident, said the body has been deposited at the New Edubiase hospital morgue.

It is not clear who the assailants are.

A rope was found tied at the waist of the man who was found Thursday morning by the residents.

Residents say the deceased was fit and full of life as of Wednesday, March 9th 2022 evening, hence they were shocked to find him dead.

Meanwhile, the body has been conveyed to Our Lady of Grace Hospital at Breman Asikuma for autopsy and preservation while the Police at Breman Brakwa have launched an investigation into the matter.

No arrest has been made yet.

The deceased has been identified as Kofi Koranteng, popularly known as Agenda.

According to information gathered, the deceased hailed from Larteh in the Eastern Region and until his unfortunate demise was a farmer at Assin Akortey Nō 2.

An eyewitness, who doubles as Assemblymember of the area, said that he owed the deceased some amount of money but had not seen him for weeks so he decided to search for him in his village only to discover his mortal remains with the skull dislocated and lying about 15 metres away, with one hand also missing.

Mr Tetteh said the residents suspect the deceased was murdered by an unknown assailant.

He asserted that residents are gripped with fear as children refuse to go to school and go on errands.

Farmers and market women are all remaining in the house following the discovery of the body and the sudden disappearance of a suspect from the community.

He, therefore, called on the police to expedite the investigation to ensure perpetrators face the full rigours of the law.

Meanwhile, the Assin Fosu District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Cephas Arthur, confirming the incident, said the remains have been sent to St. Francis Xavier Hospital Morgue for preservation while a formal investigation has been launched into the matter.

The victim was found dead on Monday, 10 January 2022, under a plantain tree after he got missing on Sunday, 9 January 2022.

The Assemblymember for the area, Bright Sefa Boakye Yiadom, revealed that the victim’s hands and legs were tied with a rope with cuts on the forehead and an ear.

Mr Yiadom suspects the returnee’s assassins subjected him to severe beatings before killing him.

He said the victim, who flew down to celebrate Christmas with his family at Suame Makro, had gone to the community to visit his friends.

Mr Yiadom said the victim went out to enjoy with his friends at about 8 pm but did not return, so, a search was conducted for his whereabouts.

The victim was found dead the next morning about 100 meters away from the house he visited at Aputuogya.

The body of the deceased has been conveyed by the police and deposited at a morgue while investigations commence into the incident.

The deceased was found floating on the river Sunday morning.

Starr FM reports that the deceased attended a funeral in the community with other family members on Friday.

The Akyem Kwabeng Police has, however, retrieved the body to the morgue for autopsy and preservation.

An 11-month-old baby has been found dead in a well after reportedly leaving his sleeping mother’s side at Yeji in the Bono East Region.

Information gathered by Adom News correspondent, Daniel Tachie, suggests the incident occurred at about 1:00 am on Friday.

This was after the mother, identified as Hannah, suddenly woke up from her sleep over claims that a thief had entered a room she laid with other relatives.

Hannah is said to have stepped on her grandmother in her bid to chase the suspected robber, an act that woke her other relatives.

However, upon a search in the room, everything was intact except Hannah’s 11-month-old baby.

All attempts by the family members to find the baby at the wee hour proved futile likewise the thief despite following the direction Hannah claimed he went.

A search was further mounted outside the house though they could not fathom where the baby, who was just starting to walk, could be at that time.

They were shocked to the core when they found the lifeless body of the baby floating in a well nearby at about 2:00 am.

Meanwhile, residents say they suspect foul play.

The body has been deposited at the Mathias Hospital Mortuary while the mother has been arrested by the police to assist with investigations.

The body of the seamstress was discovered Tuesday, 26 October 2021, by her mother after they perceived a bad stench in the area.

The victim’s stomach had been cut, panties pulled down with her head covered with a bedsheet lying dead on her bed with a knife beside her.

The Assembly Member for the area, Noldy Amankwah, revealed that the victim was not seen again after she helped her mother with house chores on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

She said they called her cell phone several times which was going through but she did not answer the call.

Mrs Amankwah said the victim’s mother later went to her room to find her dead.

She said the body has been deposited at a morgue at Emina hospital for preservation and autopsy.

The police have also commenced investigations into the incident.

ASP (Rtd) Peter Kwadjo Tawiah left home Thursday morning at about 7:00 am to farm but failed to return.

The family, led by John Teye Oboaba, brother of the deceased, made an official complaint at the Odumase Police station at about 7:30 pm the same day.

Police officers were dispatched to the farm and found the motionless body of ASP (Rtd) Peter Kwadjo Tawiah lying in a supine position with a cutlass in his right hand.

After examining the body and taking inventories of the scene, he was conveyed to Atua Government Hospital where he was medically declared dead.

The body has since been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.

The Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Starr News, preliminary examination of the body did not detect any marks of assault.

He, however, said Police is awaiting an autopsy report by medical doctors to establish the cause of death.

The teenager, who has not been identified by police because of his age, spoke at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court to confirm his name, age and address.

He had already been charged with perverting the course of justice over the little boy’s death in July.

Judge Stephen Harmes told him ‘take your hands out of your pockets before he remanded him in authority care ahead of a crown court appearance. 

He said: ‘Mr Isaac (your lawyer) will help you understand what’s going on.

‘You’ll be going to Crown Court probably next week but for now, you’ll continue as you have been.’

The court held the boy’s bail conditions included wearing an electronic tag and staying away from Sarn.

Logan – also known as Logan Williamson – was found dead in Ogmore River near Pandy Park in Bridgend after police were called to a report of a missing child at 5.45 am on Saturday, July 31.

He was taken to the Princess of Wales Hospital in the town, where it was confirmed that he had died.

Logan’s step-father John Cole, 39, has also been accused of murder after he was found with a string of injuries.

Cole and Logan’s mother Angharad Williamson, 30, have also been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a three-year-old boy whose body was found in a car at the premises of the St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica at Roman Hill in Kumasi.

Witnesses say the toddler, Stephen Acheampong, a pupil of the St Peters Day Care centre, was found in the Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 7600-20, half-naked.

Young Acheampong, according to reports, was nowhere to be found after the close of school until the owner of the car drew the attention of school authorities.

The vehicle owner admitted it was not locked but it is not immediately clear how the boy found his way into the car.

A member of the team that went in search of the boy late afternoon on Tuesday told Luv News’ Erastus Asare Donkor the lack of clothes and footwear when he was found in the car raises eyebrows.

He added the deceased had foam in his mouth and blood from his nose.

Some residents, who spoke to Adom News‘ Isaac K. Normanyo, said they do not know him in the vicinity.

However, they suspect he was killed with the body dumped in the area.

Meanwhile, police in the area have been to the scene to convey the body to the mortuary with investigations underway.

In an interview with Adom News, the Assemblymember of the area, Cephas Arthur, said the body had decomposed at the time of discovery.

Though it is unclear how long Mr Essel laid in the room, Mr Arthur believed he was there for almost three days due to the stench that filled the atmosphere.

He explained the deceased is a known drunkard, hence he is suspected to have drunk alcohol without taking in food, leading to his death.

The deceased is said to have not been seen for four days but the residents thought he might have travelled or visited his friends outside the town.

However, a bad odour began to emanate from his room and they alerted the assemblyman, who broke the door on Tuesday evening to find the lifeless body.

The deceased has since been buried while police have begun investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Mfantsiman Municipality Environmental Health Officer confirmed the deceased was known for having a penchant for excessive intake of alcohol.

He disclosed that the deceased was admitted to the Mankessim Catholic Hospital some time back for taking in excessive alcohol which nearly caused his death.

The deceased was found naked on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

A witness, Mohammed Iddrisu, said he heard someone screaming for help but was afraid to come out and after some time, he did not hear anything again.

However, he woke up Thursday morning only to be told by one of his brothers that someone has been found dead.

The Awutu Bereku District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Joshua Semanyo, speaking to Adom News, urged the residents to assist the police with information to arrest the perpetrators.

Also, the Chief of Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoanquandoh II, called on the Inspector- General of Police to deploy more security personnel to the new Kasoa Region to fight criminals.

Some residents appealed to the government to aid them with streetlights since criminals have taken over their area.

Mr Nsiah was reportedly found in the bush with his hand in a rat hole with the cause of death not immediately known.

A witness, Francis Donkor, who spoke to Adom News, said the deceased was found holding a decomposed rat.

According to him, all attempts to get the body and the hand out from the ground proved futile.

He explained that it was after libation was poured with prayers offered at the scene that they were successful.

The father of the deceased, Joseph Osei, said his son came to the farm last week Monday with the mother but did not return.

However, they thought he had slept at their hamlet in the farm but still did not return after days, hence, they mounted a search for him only to see him stuck in the rat hole.

Some residents, who went to the scene, have expressed shock over the incident and read spiritual meanings into it.

Meanwhile, police have taken the body for further investigation.

The deceased is reported to have left home at about 4:30 pm on Sunday without informing anyone and never returned home.

Following her absence, a search was mounted for her but to no avail.

However, a search in her farm led to the discovery of her basket which she uses to carry farm produce but no sign of her.

In an interview with Adom News, the Abusuapanyin of the deceased’s husband’s family, Odei Nyarkoh, said he believes Abena Kenuwa fell down when trying to carry her firewood.

Her lifeless body was later discovered by the Enyan Abaasa Police in the farmland.

She laid in a prone position beside a bunch of firewood with no cut or wound on her body.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei, the Abusuapanyin and an in-law to the deceased, Odei Nyarkoh, said he believes madam Kenuwa fell to her death in an attempt to carry the firewood.

Meanwhile, the Gyaasehene of Enyan Abaasa, Nana Kojo Okyere IV, also dispelled allegations that the deceased was murdered by her husband.

The body has been conveyed to the Etuafoa Mortuary at Ajumako Mando for Preservation.

The Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Police have since commenced investigations into the death.

The suspects, according to the police, include 50-year-old Timothy Dampare, who is a lotto agent, and 30-year-old Richard Nimo, manager of the Misiho Hotel where Sarah Adjei’s body was discovered in a pool of blood with stab wounds.

A statement, signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs, ACP Kwaei Ofori, noted another person is also being pursued.

The deceased, who was with Quarter Master stores at Nkwakwa Divisional Headquarters, is reported to have lodged into a hotel located at Akwasiho.

However, at about 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 7, 2021, the manager reportedly told the police that he went to check up on the guest and to his amazement, she was lying dead on the floor, in a prone position.

Also, blood was found oozing from her nostrils and she had a swollen right cheek.

Meanwhile, the Director-General in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, COP Ken Yeboah, is expected to lead a technical team of Crime Scene managers and the Homicide Unit to unravel the death of the Policewoman.

The deceased, identified as MMa Ayisha, according to reports, went missing on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, after she went to the mosque with her mother to pray.

Her father, Abdul Karim, narrated all attempts by her mother to find her after the prayers proved futile, causing them to embark on a search for her.

The incident was later reported to the police but she was found dead in a gutter on Friday night, a few meters away from their house.

Meanwhile, her disgruntled father suspects his daughter was murdered and dumped in the gutter.

The lifeless body was discovered by residents in the early hours of Friday, June 25, 2021.

The deceased who is yet to be identified was found in a supine position with only a T-shirt on.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News said the deceased was not known in the area.

According to them, they can’t tell if the deceased was killed dumped in the river or committed suicide.

They lamented the frequent killing and robbery cases in the area as they appealed for heightened security in the area.

The Assemblymember for Kasoa Komotey Electoral area, Muhammed Kwabena Ali, commenting on security in the area said he will communicate with the Assembly to get streetlights fixed on the streets.

Meanwhile, the Awutu Senya East Municipal NaDMO Director, Kwame Amoah has visited the scene to convey the body at the hospital.

The man, according to reports, was found lying by a bridge on the road leading to Walewale on Saturday morning.

While details of the incident remain sketchy, the Assembly Member, Issah Abdul Gafaru, confirmed the incident.

Though the body is yet-to-identified, a voter identity card and NHIS card found on him had the name Kwabena Daniel.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission Officer in the area has identified the voters identity card to be from Kpandai in the Northern Region.

The body has since been deposited at the Walewale Mortuary awaiting autopsy and identification.

Maria Jane Rawlings, 45, from Chelmsford, Essex, was found deceased in Little Heath, Romford, by a man who was walking his dog at around 2:pm on Tuesday. 

A post-mortem examination gave the woman’s preliminary cause of death as neck compression and possible blunt force head trauma, the force said. 

Officers are still examining the scene and are expected to remain in the area for several days. On Monday evening, Ms Rawlings attended the King George Hospital in Goodmayes, Ilford, before leaving on foot to Barley Lane in the direction of the A12. 

Detectives believe someone may have approached her while she was walking on that road. Police are yet to make an arrest, the Met said as detectives appeal for witnesses.

Detective Chief Inspector David Hillier, who is leading the investigation, said: “My team and I are working around the clock following a number of inquiries in our work to establish what happened to Maria. 

“Her family is understandably distraught and we are doing all we can to help them as they begin to come to terms with their loss. 

“Now I am asking for the public to help us. I want to hear from anyone who knew Maria and knows about where she had been and who she had been associating with.

Chief Superintendent Stephen Clayman, BCU commander for Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge, added: ‘I understand the concerns around safety that will arise from this, particularly from women, and we have increased patrols in the area from our local policing teams.

The victim who is suspected to have been murdered, according to reports, was found in a pool of blood.

Police sources indicate a distress call was placed to the station in the early hours of Wednesday, April 28, 2021, about the incident.

A team from the Tesano District Police Crime and Forensic Department, proceeded to the scene to convey the body to the mortuary.

The Tesano Police Commander, ACP Amaning, speaking to the incident said the cause of death is yet to be established.
