National Democratic Congress (NDC) serial caller, Osei Yaw Nketia (popularly known as Dr. Asemfofro), has been laid to rest.
The outspoken serial caller passed away at the 37 Military Hospital on Easter Sunday after a short illness at age 52.
Politically, Dr. Asemfofro did not hide his support for the NDC as he was active on several campaign platforms to garner votes for the party.
He shot to fame when he challenged former President John Agyekum Kufuor to swear by the dreaded Ashanti deity, Antoa Nyama, if indeed he (Kufuor) had not engaged in any corrupt acts.
The herbal medicine peddler, however, fell out of favour with the NDC, saying the party he so much loved and had sacrificed his money, energy and time for, had treated him like a non-entity, virtually dumping him and leaving him to his fate.
Until his death, he declared his support for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and also supported the free SHS policy of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
At his funeral held at Ablekuma Joma in Accra, serial callers of both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition NDC in an interview on Kofi TV condemned their party leadership for not honouring their comrade.
They fear a similar fate will befall them if they don’t get their leaders to do the right thing.

The sudden death of former serial phone-in contributor, Yaw Nketia popularly known as Dr. Asemfofro left many in shock.

But this exposé by an Obuasi-based fetish priest about what he says is the real cause of death has even made the issue murkier.

According to Dr. John Kofi Adarkwah, someone in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) “poisoned” Dr. Asemfofro.

The vociferous serial caller died at the 37 Military hospital on Easter Sunday dawn after a short ailment.

Dr. Asemfofro’s elder’s son, Ampem Nketia who confirmed this to Adom News said his father gave up the ghost after battling with a protracted ailment.

But Dr. Adarkwah on Nhyira FM’s ‘Kuro yi mu nsem’ said the ailment that killed the serial caller is spiritual.

He indicated that, due to Dr. Asemfofro critique of the Mahama-led administration, some party members took offense and decided to eliminate him spiritually.

“I challenge the family members to demand postmortem and they will see their kinsman was poisoned.

Dr. Adarkwah could not fathom why Dr. Asemfofro who was also a herbalist did not have any spiritual protection to detect the diabolical plan of the NDC.

He warned all public figures to seek spiritual protection if they want to leave long

The former serial phone-in contributor, Yaw Nketia popularly known as Dr. Asemfofro has died.

He is reported to have passed at the 37 Military hospital on Easter Sunday dawn after a short ailment.

Dr. Asemfofro’s elder’s son, Ampem Nketia confirmed this to Adom News.

He indicated that, his father was rushed to the hospital on Good Friday but gave up the ghost this dawn.

He was 52-years-old.

Politically, Dr. Asemfofro did not hide his support for the NDC as was active on several campaign platforms to garner votes for the party.

He shot to fame when he challenged former President John Agyekum Kufuor to swear by dreaded Ashanti deity, Antoa Nyama if indeed he has not engaged in any corrupt acts.

The herbal doctor was carried shoulder-high, following the role he played in the demonstrations against the Representation of the People’s Amendment Law (ROPAL) and also stated a one-man demonstration in protest as what he termed the crippling socio-economic conditions under the erstwhile Kufuor administration.

But, Dr. Asemfofro, however, fell out with the NDC saying the party he so much loved and had sacrificed his money, energy and time for, had treated him like a leper, virtually dumping him and leaving him to his fate.

Until his death, he declared his support for the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and also supported the free SHS policy of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The late Dr. Asemfofro left behind 13 children and two wives.
