The speculation began after social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) published what he claimed was a private phone conversation between Falz and Bobrisky during the latter’s time in custody.

The recording sparked widespread gossip online, prompting questions about Falz’s relationship with Bobrisky.

On the alleged relationship with Bobrisky, Falz is adamant that there was none.

He clarified that Bobrisky had reached out to him, via Instagram asking for help with his legal troubles, as many people often do due to his status as a lawyer.

Out of empathy, Falz listened and responded, but insists it was nothing more than that, adding the conversation did not have a sexual undertone.

“I never had any prior relationship with Bobrisky. He messaged me and I tried to help, just as I’ve done with many others. Unfortunately, this one got twisted into something it wasn’t.”

Reflecting on the experience, Falz noted it has made him more cautious about offering help, but it won’t stop him from showing compassion to those in need.

However, Falz has taken legal steps to address the situation. Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, the award-winning artiste confirmed he and his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, have filed a defamation lawsuit against VDM.

He revealed that despite filing the suit, the defendant has yet to file a proper response, instead challenging the court’s jurisdiction, an objection that has since been dismissed.

“The court has thrown out the preliminary objection. Now they must either enter a defense or the court will proceed to rule on the case,” Falz explained.

According to a source, Bobrisky expressed discomfort, after spending hours in the Police cell at Alagbon, Lagos State.

A Police source disclosed that he was taken to the hospital at about 2 p.m., yesterday.
Vanguard gathered that Bobrisky claimed his ‘breasts’ were hurting him.

However, a police source told Vanguard that the ambulance trip was a decoy because the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Fraud Unit, SFU, in Lagos State had visited the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Alagbon, intending to transfer Bobrisky to his command at SFU.

“They were concerned about avoiding public attention, so they sent for a police ambulance with the number plate LLD339LP,” the source added.

Another source indicated that Bobrisky complained bitterly about pain in his ‘breast,’ which was why they insisted on taking him to the Police Hospital, Falomo before transferring him to SFU. “This occurred after the CP of SFU visited the command to supervise the transfer.”

The source added that before Bobrisky was placed in the cell, he was isolated from other inmates and kept in a separate location, with two armed officers assigned to guard his cell after profiling him.

The Police source further stated that the two armed officers remained present until Bobrisky was taken out and placed in the ambulance for transport to the Police Hospital, Falomo.

When approached him inside the ambulance and asked for his name, he identified himself with his male name, Idris.

While he was in the ambulance, a female nurse and a fully armed police officer were present to guard him. He was placed on a stretcher inside the ambulance.

Recall that Okuneye, spent Monday night at the FCID, Alagbon, Lagos, after being arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS.

Bobrisky was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on four counts bordering on naira abuse.

He pleaded guilty before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

Justice Awogboro, on 12 April, sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment without an option of a fine.

The judge while sentencing the convict said the judgment should serve as a deterrent to others fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.

However, counsel to the crossdresser, Bimbo Kusanu, filed a notice of appeal, praying the Court of Appeal to set aside the maximum sentence.

Mr Kusanu is asking the court to replace the sentence with an option of a N50,000 fine on each of the counts.

The counsel stated in the notice of appeal that the trial court imposed the maximum sentence on the appellant, who had no previous criminal record of conviction.

He stated that there were options to impose a lesser sentence by the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA).

Mr Kusanu averred that the sentence imposed by the trial court against Bobrisky was punitive and contrary to the mandatory provisions of the ACJA.

He stated that the trial court did not consider the positive antecedent of the appellant, who did not waste the time of the court by pleading guilty to the charge.

The counsel also stated that Bobrisky honoured the invitation of the respondent (EFCC).

Mr Kusanu said that the trial court failed to exercise its discretion judiciously and judicially in sentencing the appellant.

He explained that such an act had occasioned a miscarriage of justice against the appellant.

The judgement was delivered this morning, April 12, following his arraignment by the EFCC on April 5th.

Bobrisky faced a six-count charge, including Abuse of the Naira and Money laundering.

While the court dismissed the money laundering charges, he was convicted for Naira Abuse after admitting to the crime. He had been remanded in EFCC detention in Lagos pending the judgement.

Initially scheduled for April 9, the hearing was postponed due to the Eid-Fitri public holiday from April 9 to April 11.

The court’s decision underscores the consequences of financial misconduct and sends a message about upholding the integrity of the Nigerian currency.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro convicted him after the review of the facts of the case.

In his allocutus, Bobrisky told the court that he was not aware of the law on abusing the naira.

He said that he is a social media influencer with over five million followers. The judge then told him that ignorance of the law was not an excuse.

He said, “I know, My Lord. My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.

“I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat it again. I regret my actions.”

Bobrisky, on Friday, pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of abuse of the naira and money laundering preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at a Lagos court.

He was originally arraigned on a six-count charge, but two charges were dropped following a discussion between the parties.

The crossdresser revealed in a post on his Instagram page that he won’t give up prostitution until he is 95 years old.

Bobrisky added that even when he stops at that age, he will pass it on to his grandchildren.

According to the crossdresser, this is because prostitution is sweet and very lucrative.
