His comments come after a new trend where youth, purported to be NDC supporters, invade offices to take over in the name of the NDC government.

Speaking on Burning Issues, the MP stated that the establishment of Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) and the appointment of Malik Basintale to oversee the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is the highest form of endorsing vigilantism.

This is because Basintale had incited the youth to take over offices right after John Dramani Mahama’s victory as president. Despite this, he has now been appointed to a government position.

“The establishment of ORAL is the highest form of endorsing vigilantism. I mean, look at the embarrassment. If you claim to be a fact-finding group, do you go around taking other people’s properties?” he said.

“Malik Basintale was inciting the youth to take over offices, but he has been awarded an appointment as the head of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), and that is another form of endorsing vigilantism,” Daniel Nana Addo-Kenneth added.

The MP also shared a personal experience: “I was slapped by my best friend because of the elections, but I took it calmly and approached his uncle about it.

He later realized his mistake and apologized. So, what I’m saying is that if those who get attacked decide to fight back, it won’t end well. That’s why the police should be professional after the elections.”

Unemployed nurses have turned into online marketers – Basintale chides NPP http://34.58.148.58/unemployed-nurses-have-turned-into-online-marketers-basintale-chides-npp/ Sun, 10 Nov 2024 09:34:56 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2470256 Deputy National Communications Officer of the NDC, Malik Basintale, has criticized the ruling NPP government, claiming that high unemployment rates under their leadership have forced many nurses into online marketing roles.

According to Basintale, nurses who should be fulfilling critical healthcare roles are now selling items like wigs, lingerie, and other goods online to make ends meet due to the lack of job placements.

Speaking at the Goaso Nursing and Midwifery College during the swearing-in of new TEIN executives, Basintale emphasized that the government’s failure to provide expected postings for nurses has left many with no choice but to find alternative means of income online.

He highlighted that under the NDC, nurses were treated as an essential workforce, contrasting it with what he described as the neglect of healthcare workers by the current administration.

“With the NDC, nurses have a true friend,” Basintale urged, calling on nurses to consider this in the upcoming December polls and vote in favor of the NDC for a return to job stability and respect in the healthcare profession.

In his remarks, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Asunafo North, Haruna Mohammed, echoed Basintale’s sentiments, stating that the NDC remains the party that values the contributions and aspirations of the youth.

He praised the young people in his constituency for aligning with the NDC, adding that the party is committed to creating better job opportunities and leadership roles for young Ghanaians.

As the campaign season intensifies, the NDC is making a strong appeal to healthcare workers, particularly nurses, to vote for change, promising a better future under their leadership.

Accept NPP’s money but vote for John Mahama – Basintale to youth http://34.58.148.58/accept-npps-money-but-vote-for-john-mahama-basintale-to-youth/ Sat, 24 Aug 2024 14:29:47 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2438360 Deputy Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, has called on Ghanaian youth to prioritize progress over any financial incentives from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and to vote against them in the 2024 general elections.

He urged the youth to accept any money the NPP might offer to sway their votes, but to ultimately cast their ballots for the NDC to help transform the economy.

Speaking ahead of the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba on Saturday, August 24, Basintale, in an interview with Citi News, encouraged the youth to follow the example of voters in the Assin North by-election, where they accepted gifts and money from the NPP but still voted against the party’s candidate.

“We are urging all the youth to be aware that the kicks of a dying horse are wild. Last minutes are dangerous, they will bring money. To the youth, they [NPP] will be coming with money, they will infiltrate the system. But remember Assin North, the people of Assin North chose the future of this nation, other than money.”

“They chose progress other than GHC200 new notes. If you don’t have a bank account or a momo account, open one, and the NPP will dole out money. December 7, vote for John Mahama and NDC, and let’s transform the corridors of this country,” he said.

He noted that the manifesto provides a beacon of hope for the numerous unemployed youth, emphasizing that John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer, possesses a compelling vision for Ghana’s development.

“Picture a Ghana doing well with inflation. Mahama holds the vision of the country.”
