Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist Stonebwoy has added another international recognition to his name after receiving an honorary award from Howard University and Warner Music Group in the United States.
The multiple award-winning musician was honoured by Howard University and the Warner Music/Blavatnik Center for Music Business at their 4th Annual Music and Business Brunch held in Washington D.C.
The recognition celebrates Stonebwoy’s pioneering role in the globalisation of African music and his continuous effort in promoting African culture on the world stage.
Organisers described the Bhim Nation president as a true representation of African excellence and cultural impact, applauding his contribution to bridging the gap between Africa and the global music industry.
This latest milestone comes ahead of his much-anticipated Bhim Festival 2025, further cementing Stonebwoy’s status as one of Africa’s most influential music exports.
