A member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign strategy team, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has predicted victory in seven regions in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Dr. Amoah expressed confidence that the campaign would win in the Western North, Western, Central, Greater Accra, Volta, Ahafo, and Ashanti regions.
He described the Eastern Region as competitive, while noting that the Oti and the five northern regions remain challenging.
“We will win in the Western North, Western, Central, Greater Accra, Volta, Ahafo, and Ashanti regions. The Eastern Region is challenging, but we believe we can secure some votes there. We cannot win in Oti, and in the five northern regions, winning is unlikely, but we will make an effort to gather votes,” he said.
Dr. Amoah added that internal projections show Kennedy Agyapong leading with about 53 percent support, based on responses from more than 26,000 of the 40,000 people contacted.
“On average, we can expect to receive about 35 to 40 percent of the votes. The Bono East Region is difficult; Bono is evenly split at 50/50. If the elections were held today, Ken would win. The data we have shows Ken at about 53 percent, which is significant. Most Ghanaians seem to support Kennedy Agyapong,” he insisted.
