The Kofi Adams has unveiled a proposed budget of GHS 146,268,659.80 for the Ghana national football team as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup.

The allocation, equivalent to just under $14 million, is intended to cover all aspects of Ghana’s participation, including player welfare, bonuses, logistical arrangements, technical staff costs, and tournament-related expenses.

The Ministry noted that the budget reflects a full competition scenario, contingent on the Black Stars progressing through every stage of the tournament. A detailed breakdown of funding and expenditure is expected as preparations for the World Cup accelerate.

Ahead of the tournament, Ghana will face Germany and Austria during the March international break and take on Mexico in May as part of their build-up.

Drawn in Group L, the Black Stars will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17, meet England on June 23, and close the group stage against Croatia on June 27.

Following consecutive group-stage exits in previous editions, Ghana is determined to make a significant impact at the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
