Senator Ned Nwoko has addressed the circulation of a viral video showing his wife, actress Regina Daniels, appearing distressed.
In a detailed statement and accompanying video shared on Instagram on Sunday, Nwoko described her recent behaviour as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage,” alleging that substance abuse has placed a strain on their marriage.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.
Nwoko claimed that the actress recently attacked staff and destroyed property at their residence while he was away. “She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he alleged.
He stated that he had offered Regina two rehabilitation options—one in Asokoro and another in Jordan—to help her recover in an environment free from access to drugs.
The senator also accused some of Regina’s close associates of exacerbating the situation by supplying her with drugs. “While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier,” he claimed, naming another individual as involved.
The remarks came hours after the viral video, in which Regina Daniels was heard saying: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, responded on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of assaulting his sister and vowing to defend her. “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, and Regina Daniels has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko married in 2019, and their relationship, often highlighted for its significant age gap, continues to draw widespread public attention.
