Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for October.
The AFC Bournemouth forward impressed with a brilliant solo effort in his team’s 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham, dribbling past two defenders before calmly slotting the ball past goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Semenyo now joins a star-studded list of contenders for the monthly award, including Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Chelsea’s Moisés Caicedo, Bournemouth teammate Justin Kluivert, and Aston Villa’s Emiliano BuendÃa.
The 25-year-old winger had also scored a memorable goal against Liverpool on the opening weekend in September. This season, he has already tallied six goals and three assists in just nine Premier League appearances.
Semenyo will hope to continue his impressive form when Bournemouth face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
