Raphael Adu, a native of Bokuruwa and a 2019 alumnus of Bokuruwa D/A Junior High School, has fulfilled a promise he made last year by donating newly sewn school uniforms and learning materials to students under his Neatness Initiative.
The presentation was held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the premises of Bokuruwa D/A JHS, benefiting pupils of Bokuruwa Presby Primary School and Bokuruwa D/A Junior High School.

Selected students received new school uniforms alongside exercise books, pens, pencils, and other learning materials. In addition, another set of learning materials was distributed to learners from Form One to Form Three, as well as some primary school learners.
The event attracted traditional leaders, headteachers, teachers, parents, PTA members, students, members of the media, and the Assemblyman for the area, Hon. William Kesse.
Addressing the gathering, the Akwamuhene of Bokuruwa, Nana Asomani, who spoke on behalf of the Bokuruwahene, Nana Obeng-Poku Tano, commended Raphael Adu for his dedication to education and community development.

“On behalf of the Bokuruwahene and the traditional council, we appreciate Raphael Adu for remembering his roots and giving back to support education in Bokuruwa. His initiative is worthy of emulation,” Nana Asomani said.
The Assemblyman for the area, Hon. William Kesse, also praised Adu’s commitment and leadership, urging students to remain focused and disciplined in their academic pursuits.
“Raphael Adu has demonstrated patience, consistency, and exemplary youth leadership. I encourage the students to stay calm, disciplined, and committed to their studies so they can also give back to society in the future,” he stated.
Raphael Adu is an Ambassador to the Federation of African Youth Development (FOAYD) and the Ghana National Tailors Association (GNTA). He is currently pursuing Communication Studies at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) and is the Chief Executive Officer of Raph TV, an award-winning media brand that has projected the Bokuruwa community to a wider audience.
Explaining the motivation behind the initiative, Adu said the Neatness Initiative is aimed at promoting neatness, confidence, and discipline among students.
“This donation is a promise fulfilled to my alma mater. I believe that when students look neat and confident, it positively affects their attitude towards learning,” he said.
He further announced that Kwahu Tafo and Kwahu Nteso are expected to benefit from similar donations in the coming days. He also pledged to donate additional exercise books to the same schools in May 2026, to mark his birthday.
The Headteacher of Bokuruwa D/A JHS, Mr. Eric Ofori Darko, expressed pride in Adu’s achievements.
“Raphael Adu passed through this school in 2019, and we are extremely proud of how far he has come. His support serves as motivation to both teachers and students,” he noted.
The programme ended with appreciation from the traditional leadership, as Nana Asomani thanked all individuals and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the initiative.
