President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has urged Ghanaians to rally behind Black Stars head coach Otto Addo ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Otto Addo, a former Ghana international, came under fire after the team failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
However, he redeemed his reputation by leading the Black Stars to secure qualification for the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Ghana topped Group I with 25 points to book their fifth appearance at the global showpiece.
Despite persistent calls for Addo’s dismissal, Mr Okraku expressed unwavering confidence in the coach’s abilities and appealed for national unity behind the technical team.
“In Otto Addo I trust. He is a proud Ghanaian, and we must support him to succeed,” he told Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
He further emphasized the need to create a calm environment for the coaching staff to operate effectively.
“The technical team need peace to work and we must empower them to go to the World Cup to excel,” he added.
The Black Stars will learn their group-stage opponents when the World Cup draw takes place on December 5.
