The Ghana Police Service has arrested 56 individuals following a series of intelligence-led operations across the Western North Region as part of its ongoing Christmas Special Operations.
In a Facebook post, the Police said the exercise is aimed at strengthening security and maintaining public safety during the festive season.
The week-long operations were conducted in several towns and communities, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsos, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina and Bidiem.
The Police assured residents that the operations form part of proactive measures to prevent crime and ensure peace before, during and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations in the region.
