The anti-galamsey taskforce, Operation Vanguard, has arrested 11 persons for mining illegally on the Offin River.
The miners were arrested in a special swoop by the taskforce.
The taskforce made the arrest with the support of the Upper Denkyira police.
The 11 illegal miners are being transported to Cape Coast for prosecution.
