Philipa Baafi reveals the golden rules that keep her marriage unshaken

-

Gospel musician Philipa Baafi has opened up about the secret behind her long-lasting marriage, describing respect, friendship and humility as the foundation that has kept her union strong over the years.

The Go High hitmaker explained that despite her fame, she has learned to draw a line between her public life and her role at home.

She noted that when she is home, she becomes a wife, not a celebrity, adding that mutual respect is what keeps the bond alive.

“I respect him so much. When I am home, I am a wife, not a superstar. I leave my celebrity status at the door and enter as a woman who was married. I always say marry your friend; someone you can smile and have a nice friendship with. I value peace of mind over everything”.

Philipa Baafi further addressed the challenges many gospel musicians face in marriage, noting that several unions in the gospel industry have suffered setbacks not because the individuals involved lack faith, but because of unseen pressures and misunderstandings.

Philipa said that marriage in recent times has become unstable, not only among gospel musicians but also across society.

She explained that no one walks away from a marriage that is working, so when couples part ways, it often reflects unresolved issues that need compassion, not judgment.

She added that it is important for couples to seek help and professional counselling before and even during marriage, particularly when problems arise.

Philipa Baafi is currently promoting her new single W’apegya Menhyira Mu, which reinforces her message of faith and perseverance through life’s challenges.
