Interim head coach Prince Yaw Owusu says he remains unfazed by growing calls for his dismissal following Asante Kotoko’s latest setback in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Vision FC in their Matchday 24 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Owusu, who took over on an interim basis after Karim Zito’s departure, has overseen three matches so far. Despite mounting criticism from some fans, he insists his focus is solely on the job at hand.
“They are free to call for it [my sack]; that is a decision for management to make. For me, I’m not worried about it,” Owusu said after the match.
“I just go out there and do my job and leave the rest to management. If they make the call today, I will respect it,” he added.
Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table with 39 points. They will aim to return to winning ways when they face Karela United FC in their next fixture, scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
