One person is in critical condition after a tricycle loaded with rice suffered brake failure and crashed into a Voxy car at Hwidem in the Asante Akyem North Municipality.
The incident occurred on Friday, September 13, 2026, in the morning.
The tricycle was travelling from Agogo to Bima, while the Voxy car, with registration number AS 2114-26, was also heading towards Agogo.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the tricycle lost control of the brakes while negotiating a curve just after descending a hill.
Information gathered indicates that the injured person is the owner of the rice being transported on the tricycle.
