In support of government efforts to improve healthcare delivery, particularly maternal health services, Adom TV’s Nsroma Season 2 finalist, Queen Miracle, has donated essential medical equipment to the Maternity Department of Kintampo Municipal Hospital.

Queen Miracle, a 15-year-old Level 200 student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), said the gesture was inspired by the exposure she gained from the Nsroma programme and the immense support she continues to receive from residents of Kintampo.

She also acknowledged the influence of the Lordina Foundation, led by the First Lady, for its contributions to equipping health facilities, especially in maternal healthcare.

Items donated included thermometers, blood pressure monitors, delivery packs, a weighing scale with height measurement, a nebuliser, fetal dopplers, a pulse oximeter, and stethoscopes, among others.

Speaking to Adom News, Queen Miracle Winime Agongo emphasized that women deserve special recognition for the sacrifices they make, particularly carrying pregnancies for nine months, and stressed the need to support their health and wellbeing.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Midwife Specialist Millicent Dapaah, in-charge of the Maternity Unit, expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as timely. She noted that the unit faces challenges with inadequate equipment and consumables and appealed for additional support, particularly an autoclave machine to aid regular disinfection.
