Ghana Premier League outfit Nations FC have officially parted ways with head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant, Johnson Smith, with immediate effect.
The announcement came shortly after the team’s 3-2 home victory over Eleven Wonders on Sunday in their Matchday 7 encounter.
In a statement published on the club’s official website, Nations FC confirmed that both parties had reached a mutual agreement to end their working relationship. The club also extended its appreciation to the departing coaches for their contributions.
“Nations FC have mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith.
“We thank them for their service to the Club.
“The club will not make any further comment on this topic.”
Mingle joined Nations FC after a successful spell with Bechem United and guided the side to their best-ever league finish last season, narrowly missing out on the Premier League title.
However, the team has struggled to maintain that momentum this campaign, registering just two wins in seven matches, leaving them 12th on the league table with eight points.
Nations FC are expected to appoint a new head coach in the coming days as they aim to turn their season around.
