The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has assured the public that Ghana’s fuel stocks are sufficient and that the country’s petroleum supply remains stable.

In a statement issued on March 11, the authority urged citizens not to be alarmed by recent reports and speculation about potential fuel shortages linked to global energy market developments.

According to the NPA, a review conducted with the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition and key industry stakeholders confirmed that adequate supplies of petrol, diesel, aviation turbine kerosene, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are available to meet national demand.

The authority explained that the government continues to monitor stock levels and coordinate with industry players—including international oil trading companies, bulk importers, distributors, and BOST Energies—to ensure consistent fuel supply across the country.

The NPA therefore urged the public to remain calm, avoid panic buying, and assured that the petroleum supply chain is functioning normally.

The authority also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a reliable fuel supply, promoting transparent market operations, and protecting consumer interests.
