A delegation from the Nanumba Traditional Council in the Northern Region on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, at the Authority’s headquarters.
The visit aimed to foster closer collaboration between the Traditional Council and the NPA.
The delegation was led by Nyelinbulgu Naa Dassana Andani Yakubu, Acting President of the Nanumba Traditional Council and Regent of Bimbilla.
He was accompanied by Chief Amidu Seidu, Chief of Kpanso; Naa Zo, Assistant to the Regent; and Dr. Mohammed Rasheed, Secretary to the Overlord.

Addressing the NPA Chief Executive, Naa Dassana Andani Yakubu said, “Our visit seeks to strengthen the relationship between the Nanumba Traditional Council and the National Petroleum Authority. We believe collaboration is key to promoting sustainable development in our communities.”

Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo welcomed the delegation warmly and reiterated his commitment to engaging with traditional authorities. “We value the partnership with traditional councils as it ensures that the benefits of Ghana’s petroleum sector reach local communities effectively,” he stated.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to maintain regular communication and explore joint initiatives to benefit the Nanumba Traditional Area, particularly in energy awareness and community development projects.
