
Highlife musician Wutah Afriyie has laid his late father, Foster Osei-Poku Snr., affectionately known as, Opanin Kwaku Sei, to rest in a solemn ceremony.
The funeral was held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at The Page Centre, off the Odorkor–Sakaman highway in Accra.
The event drew family, sympathizers and several members of Ghana’s entertainment industry, who joined the artiste to bid farewell to his 83-year-old father.
The atmosphere was filled with emotion as mourners paid their last respects to a man described as humble, supportive, and deeply instrumental in shaping his son’s musical journey.
Industry colleagues extended their condolences to Wutah Afriyie, both in person and through social media.
Many lauded the late Opanin Sei for raising a son whose music continues to inspire generations.
