The Member of Parliament for Asunafo North in the Ahafo Region, Haruna Mohammed, has presented 400 street bulbs to the Municipal Assembly to help address darkness and enhance security in the area.
Speaking to Adom News in Goaso, the MP said the donation was prompted by growing security concerns, as criminals often take advantage of poorly lit areas to attack residents.
He explained that the urgent procurement of the street bulbs aims to prevent such crimes and ensure communities are properly illuminated.

“I did this to prevent people with criminal intentions from exploiting the absence of street lights to harm law-abiding citizens,” he said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Assembly, Municipal Chief Executive Joseph Akparibo expressed appreciation to the MP for the support.
He assured that the street bulbs would be distributed fairly, with priority given to areas most in need, to improve safety and security across the municipality.
