Major fire outbreak hits Kasoa New Market

A major fire outbreak has erupted at the Kasoa New Market, prompting a large-scale emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service.

Firefighters from the Kasoa and Weija Fire Stations are currently battling the blaze, with reinforcement arriving from several other commands.

Fire tenders from Legon, Madina, Dansoman, and the Flagstaff House have all been dispatched to support efforts at the scene.

Additionally, all available fire pumps from Accra have been mobilised to help contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.

Firefighting operations are ongoing as authorities work to bring the situation under control.

No casualties have been confirmed yet, while the extent of damage is still being assessed.

Cause of the fire is yet to be established.
