Member of Parliament for Kpandai, Mathew Nyindam, has pledged to dedicate his entire share of the Common Fund to development projects in KojoBoni and across the Kpandai District.
He made the commitment during this year’s Kajogyi Festival, celebrated by the people of KojoBoni in the Northern Region. Addressing a durbar of chiefs and residents, Mr. Nyindam declared: “I will use all my Common Fund in the development of KojoBoni and the entire Kpandai District.” His remarks drew loud applause from the crowd.
The Kajogyi Festival, a major cultural event of the Nchumuru people, brought together locals and visitors in a vibrant display of music, dance, and heritage.
This year’s celebration was marked by renewed calls for unity, development, and decisive leadership.
Mr. Nyindam highlighted pressing challenges in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth employment, stressing the need for leaders to move beyond rhetoric. “The time for politics has passed. It is now time for results. The development of our communities cannot wait,” he said.
His pledge was warmly received by chiefs, elders, and residents, who described it as a rare demonstration of commitment to grassroots development. Many expressed hope that the gesture would set a precedent for transparent and impactful use of public funds in rural communities.
