A violent confrontation broke out in Kpandai today between rival chiefs over a land dispute, resulting in the destruction of three motorbikes by fire.

Eyewitnesses said tensions had been building between the factions, each claiming ownership of the contested land.

The situation escalated when one group attempted to demarcate the property, prompting the opposing faction to intervene.

“They started throwing stones and hurling insults at each other. Before we knew it, they set fire to the motorbikes,” an eyewitness recounted.

The Ghana Police Service has deployed personnel to the area to restore calm, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
