Former Member of Parliament for New Juabeng South and member of the Kennedy Agyapong campaign team, Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah, has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite behind Kennedy Agyapong, describing him as the party’s strongest chance of winning the next general elections.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Dr. Assibey-Yeboah compared Kennedy Agyapong to US President Donald Trump, noting that his bold and unconventional style has re-energised the party’s base.
According to him, the NPP enters the next elections as underdogs and therefore requires a candidate capable of mobilising grassroots supporters while appealing to floating voters.
“I have looked at the data and interacted with people. Kennedy Agyapong gives us a better shot at winning. People are willing to vote now because Ken is back,” he said.
Dr. Assibey-Yeboah emphasised that, while he respects supporters of other aspirants, Kennedy Agyapong’s ability to galvanise the party faithful makes him the NPP’s best option to return to power.
