Julius Emunah is reportedly on the verge of being appointed as the new Managing Director of Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak, following his resignation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after nearly ten years of service.
Emunah’s career in Ghanaian football administration began in 2016 when he was appointed Western Regional Secretary at the GFA. He later served as Regional Administrative Manager of the Western Region Football Association until 2020, before moving to national-level roles, including National Safety and Security Officer and Club Licensing Manager between 2020 and 2024.
At Hearts of Oak, Emunah is set to succeed Delali Anku-Adiamah, who served as Managing Director from February 2024 to December 2025.
In his new role, Emunah will oversee all club operations, liaise with key football governance bodies including the GFA and the Premier League Board, and report directly to the club’s Board of Directors while collaborating closely with the Executive Chairman.
The appointment comes as Hearts of Oak aim to address lingering administrative challenges, with Emunah expected to lead efforts to improve governance and operational efficiency at the historic Accra-based club.
